What has irritated you today

Feel your pain. I have given up on Amazon altogether. So many companies now want you to buy via Amazon and I just don’t buy anything from there. If the companies can’t be bothered with their own customer service, then that’s not for me. Hope your phone arrives in time to capture all the festive fun.

I have little choice about using Amazon. My nearest town is Uttoxeter, calls itself an historic market town and historically it was but then… the council decided to close the cattle market and with it went the amazing weekly market and the shops converted to charity shops, nail bars, vape shops etc etc one by one as the people who used to flock to the town every Wednesday for the cattle market went elsewhere.
We have no decent clothes shops and I very rarely bother to walk down the high street as it is not worth the exercise. Depressing. Have to dodge the cars as it is supposed to be pedestrianised but as soon as they rebuild the bollards someone knocks them out again… There is one nice gifty shop at the bottom of town by my doctor’s so i always pop in there for a couple of nice little Christmassy things but apart from that.and things i pick up when i’m doing my very occasional Xmas fair( 4 this year, quite enough   ) it’s online shopping all the way for me and … I could have bought the phone from Vodafone but its 25% off for same phone at Amazon And they have a nice matching case too (that of course Has arrived  ) So sorry I use Amazon as and when it is better for me.
PS my daughter lives near Stroud and she is sooooo lucky, lovely shops and mainly independants. Love a little visit to the shops when i am down there.

Slimbridge is nice. Taken the Grands to the bird place there lots of times. It’s across the other side of the M5 but not far at all. Lots of nice villages with lovely shops in Gloucestershire. Just not in the area of Staffordshire where i live.

Oh gosh. It is such a different word we live in. High Streets get smaller. Shopping centres aren’t really centers as the ones closest to me are way out of town and it takes a good hour to get there. It really is cheaper for me to catch the train and go to Glasgow which is a real treat. Have a great Christmas and New Year.

I have spent my morning cleaning tomato ketchup off my wall, after the bottle exploded. Yesterday, my son managed to pee all over the toilet seat, the bathroom floor and the base of the sink, and, to add insult to injury, also manage to hit the freshly laundered towels. I would rather one of my pets stole my lunch…

Spent 10 minutes queuing in the checkout today at Lidl while some bloke tried to pay using his phone. He fiddled and twiddled while the queue shuffled and tutted and it took two assistants to sort him out. I ended up draped over my trolly biting back curses while the guy behind me kept muttering “Why doesn’t he use a card!”

I try not to let anything upset me. If something goes wrong, I know from experience that there is usually a reason for it or that life has saved me from something worse. I once got upset when moving house, because everything was going wrong.buyers mucking us about…even wanted our garage airlifted out because they said it contained asbestos…it didn’t of course …but they were trying to get a price reduction…so it took over a year of haggling and aggro…
HOWEVER, when we eventually moved,. it was the last day that my daughter had to legally go to school ( she was being badly bullied) and so we just took her out of school and left…and because of that delay, she didn’t have to go to school in our new area ( country) where the curriculum was totally different.
She didn’t even take any exams and her old headmaster said that she would never get a job …WRONG…she got a job straight away and has been working for the council now with special needs adults for nearly 30 years…
SO when things go wrong…there is usually a reason…so always look on the bright side…
Over to Eric Idle…
always look on the bright side of life…tra la, tra la la la la la…

3am this morning. This little face is poking at me in bed. Wants toilet. So I go down, let him out the back, it’s freezing but I wait and wait and wait…and wait. I poke my head around the back door and there he is stretched out having a snooze like Lord Muck!

Reading that due to our Government Apple have had to remove ADP level security from our devices and iCloud. I can understand they want access to check for child porn etc but why can they not only do this for people they suspect. Means now we are more open to hacking. Getting more and more like Russia. At lease they will not have access to Safeguard and a few other items.
Fuming is an understatement. They can have access with a warrant why do they need to reduce our security.

What has irritated me today? Just today ?
Ho boy, where do I start? LOL.

Seriously, not too much at the moment, but I’ve been on leave from work all week and I’m quite sad to remember/realise that I have to go back to work on Monday and I shudder to think what my inbox is going to be like and how I’m sure my colleague didn’t do half the things I had asked her to keep an eye on … So I’m sure I’ll be back Monday to complain then …

For now, I’ll just try and enjoy what is left of my leave …
