Morning Hazel, that’s very pretty!

Awww shucks, it’s raining :frowning:

Aww shucks Stephie, it’s fine here again was raining earlier so maybe it’s just passing for you too!

Lovely lilacs Hazel.

I’ve been writing a new blog all about my list of 50 things I’m going to do before I get to 50 next year, some arty stuff on the list too

http://paperchainsandbeads.blogspot.co.uk/

and a new listing for me,

Morning Stephie and Max

Thanks for the lilac love

Heavy rain here too !!! Good for the garden and as hubby is working inside today not a terrible start to the week - decorating exteriors at this time if year is a juggling act as we are weather dependent !!!

Off to read your blog now Max …

That’s a great list Max @paperchainsandbeads you will have fun doing them

I didn’t have such a long list lol but still doing all sorts of new things and challenges - being 50 (I’m now 51) is very liberating I find … Wake up calls have made me realise - Life’s to short!! so I am now making the most of it and taking the opportunities that arise and doing the things I always wished I could !!! Within reason and budget lol

Sounds like you have a great year ahead

Love those coasters Max. Your year ahead sounds like it’s going to be a fun packed ride, enjoy!

Morning, waves.
Go for it Hazel!
I’m going out for lunch with a friend today to Mrs Smith’s teasroom and gift shop, their cake comes highly recommended.

I’m going to be blogging regularly to keep you up to date, especially with the art related things

Great Max be good to watch / read how you get on with the list - art and otherwise

Enjoy the cake Tessa

Morning everyone, I keep forgetting we start a new thread every Monday, just commented on the old one!

Fab work everyone, I’m very busy today so can’t be around much.

Max while ur in Cornwall would be a good opportunity to try lobster, fresh from the sea, paint plein air and visit one of the many art exhibitions there.
here’s one I like

Had a fab day out today, the sun shone most of the day and we had chips by the sea for lunch, can’t beat it!

Tessa your tea shop visit sounds good, I do love a good cup of tea and a cake

Took my pastel pencils out today, I really don’t like them at all. I think the picture on the tin must have been huge and shrunk for the tin as it’s nigh on impossible to get any detail on anything smaller than a5. I’m going on a pastel workshop in September so hopefully I’ll pick up some tips there…meanwhile if anyone has any handy hints I’d be very grateful.

@louisa15 Margaret did you prefer the artbars or the inktense?

Hazel, what a lovely picture.
Love your list Max, I am 6 years away from the big one. I shall have to think about making a list to do in the last year. As you say, sometimes you need to encourage yourself to seize the moment. Go for it!
@StephanieGuy Used to quite enjoy pastels when I was younger, haven’t used them for years though. You’ll have to let us know how your workshop goes.
Night, night
Annelee xx

Thank you all for the kind words on my Lilac

It is very quiet in here nowadays isn’t it … I guess its maybe that time of year and maybe some of the artists who use to post here have moved on, I haven’t seen some of the familiar faces post in a long while … well I’m still here and will be for a while, now I have my plus account

Folksy is very quiet for me at the moment, still selling elsewhere if a little slowly, but again I think its a time of year thing, I didn’t sell much last July but August and September were my best months of the year so fingers crossed things will pick up here …

This is a brand new ACEO and I am hoping to get in my studio today to paint some more miniatures …
