I’m soon to be moving to Derbyshire and am looking forward to visiting and perhaps taking part in a few craft fayres and other events. We will be living in Alfreton, so I’d love to hear about anything going on in the East Midlands. Good craft shops, second hand markets, boot sales, exhibitions, craft fayres, workshops, farmers markets, charity shops, classic car events, anything you can recommend really!

for craft fairs i can recommend an organiser who does loads of fairs in nottingham and derbyshire. you can book through the website at www.artsandcraftfairs.org
Thanks Laura! I’ve just had a look and it seems like there’s lots going on, even a classic car show at Ilkeston so hubs will be pleased. I haven’t done craft fairs for a long time, but I might try a couple once we have moved, I think the fresh start will be good for my crafting. Do you do many fairs?

I’m based in Leicester, but to be honest leicester is rubbish for fairs! They don’t really appreciate hand made good so I do 3 fair in Leicester a year. However I travel to Nottingham and around the Midlands for fairs and do at least 2 a month
Wow, sounds like you keep busy. I have become quite disillusioned with craft fairs over time, but I will definitely try again when I move.
