I was looking in someone’s shop and got a screen like that on something in their sold list… something obviously sold several months ago so therefore expired.
So I checked some of my own Sold and expired listings and sure enough found some which generated that display. Only some of them .. appears a bit random but maybe if it can find in stock things with a matching keyword but no that makes no sense as pretty well all my suncatchers have a suncatcher keyword / tag.
Never seen a screen like it before and i do look at sellers sold things sometimes out of interest to see how long ago it was since they sold anything as i am a nosey so and so
Or this one which I sold 28th November 2024…Not what i would call ‘just missed’ and why would someone looking at a horse be interested in a Beagle dog, an owl or a Blue heart for that matter ? Usual total randomness reigns
I’m liking it. For example, I know that someone on here very kindly put one of my peg bags on a Folksy Friday board on Instagram but it had actually just sold the day before. Now if someone were to click on it from Insta they would see alternative peg bags from my shop.
I clicked on my sold items ( all 2 of them! So didnt take long!) and both came up with the " just missed it" message, even though both have now expired, and pictures of other items from my shop.
It has left my ancient brain completely befuddled…how can it say I had missed it when I hadn’t even confirmed the listing?..
Why all these changes?..leaves my brain in a mess…very weird …please admin, remove it…I thought I had done something wrong with my listing.

Can it get worse ? Believe me it really really can.
This afternoon I accidentally dropped one of my carefully made fused glass pictures on the floor at my Spring Fair.
I just went into the listing from my shop front and zeroised the stock qty to remove it from stock…
PS I was just checking in my out of stock listing file via my dashboard, manage listings, that it had completed the removal of the thing above and thought to click on a listing of something else recently added there (sold in my other shop while i was on holiday ).
Guess what i got.
Is someone deliberately trying to slow down the system because I cannot imagine for one minute that adding totally crazy displays like that, which must have a shop listing search behind them at the very least, is going to do anything at all to benefit the speed of access of the rest of the site.
Goodness knows what might be popping up for any potential customers that we have no idea about !
Anyone not believing me about this then just pop to your dashboard and click on any of your out of stock or expired listings. It is not consistent as it is not every listing but most and i can’t work out any pattern as to why it occasionally doesn’t do it but as i cant work out any logical reason why it does it in the first place…Big Bug comes to mind
Makes me wonder what other little niceties are secretly creeping into the system.. Maybe it’s to take our minds of the shocking new search !
it doesn’t help at our age when it makes me wonder if I am losing it…I KNOW my brain works well but when things like this happen it makes me wonder.
I am just so glad that it has happened to other people as well, so that confirms that it isn’t just ME…lol

I think it is a nice feature when i click on my sold items, keeping buyers inside my shop to look at similar things rather than them wandering off elsewhere.
It is erratic though, sometimes appearing and sometimes not.
My guess about it coming up for new listing previews is some sort of time lag before the new item quantity is recognised in the system. Probably an easily fixable glitch now we’ve noticed it.
I take it someone has reported to Support, as we know they don’t always quickly spot issues raised here in the forums?
I didn’t mind that it showed up more of my items but it just seemed odd to pop up while I was doing a preview?..Yes perhaps someone can report it to admin as it was almost like a subliminal advertisement …
