A question about categories

I have decided to re-envigorate my shop and am starting to list! As the shop is empty I am faffing with shopkeeping.

So you think it is more logical to categorise under type of item or occasion?

So should I do Weddings, Christenings, Hen Nights etc or Albums, Guest Books, Keepsake Boxes.

Can’t decide which is most logical and if I were shopping which I would prefer!

Why not do both - lovely to see you back by the way! Put an album that has been designed in the Weddings category, along with your wedding guest books etc and also in albums, along with all your other photo albums. That way, people will always find what they are looking for.

I agree with Jacqueline - you can put items in more than one collection in your shop.

Thanks for prompting me. I had the word “Valentine” in the title of my hearts / love category which needed removing now that’s done for another year
Must now go through them all and take the Valentine word out of the descriptions and add “Mother’s Day” if not already there and then add them to my “occasions” category
Errr… best way to spell that please for searching
Mothers Day or Mother’s Day ?

There must be an easier way but don’t know what it is.
I can’t just have a Mother’s Day category as I prefer to just have 6 - looks so much neater with just the 6 boxes in a single line.

Mothers’ Day? It depends how many Mothers! I’m not sure.
My Mum always insists on ‘Mothering Sunday’, though.

Joy, I believe it will not read an apostrophe so its a moot point! I would use mothers as opposed to mother as it will read both.

Thanks Leslie, you are of course quite correct. I will now do a search for Valentine Stained Glass, select any which are mine and edit to replace the Valentine with Mothers Day.
