Hi. Something I’ve been looking for for the longest time is customisable categories on the listings page. At the moment I have
For sale
Out of stock
Hidden
Expired
Draft
Is this the default or can I now create my own?
Thank you

These are default, as each listing you have falls into one of these categories…what other catagory would you want?
If you want categories to help your customers navigate your shop then use Collections
I guess ideally I’d use them for storage for my occasions cards eg christening, new home, Christmas etc etc. At the moment when I’ve done with my Father’s Day cards for instance, I move them out to “hidden” and then have to sift thro all the other occasions to find them the following year
No it’s not categories for my customers. It’s for me. I sell all types of occasions greetings cards. When, for example Mother’s Day, is over I remove those cards from site and reinstate them plus new ones the following year. It would be useful to have “storage” other than “For Sale”, “Out of Stock”, “Hidden”, “Expired”, and “Draft” so I could store those out of date occasions card under separate headings
If you renew all of the eg mother’s day cards on the same day (and nothing else on that day) then they will be grouped together under the tabs on the listings page (regardless of whether it is for sale/ hidden/ expired). That might make it a bit easier to find them later on if you want to reactivate them.
However given that mother’s day and father’s day are on different dates in different countries (mother’s day is in March in the UK but May in the USA) I’d leave the cards in your shop but use shop keeping to move them to the last page rather than hide them. That way if anyone needs to get a card out of season they are still available. (my cousin (in the USA) used to complain about this as she could never get mother’s day cards for her mum (in the UK))
That’s a good idea. Thank you
