So I’m in the making of a new design etc with some gorgeous fabric, my question is if i wanted to add things into them, for example pencils or gel pens etc? I had a couple of tea bag wallets with tea bags and a spoon. I made the wallet so am sure if not the main component not a problem. Have seen crayon cases including crayons. In some instances you need something to make a sale more attractive.
If you send anything edible in a package (even if its a freebie) you need to have appropriate hygiene certification from your council so avoid including anything edible (inc hot chocolate etc) unless you’ve got the right paper work.
You are only allowed to sell handmade food on folksy so bought in chocolate/sweets are not allowed - I was unaware of this when I started out and included mini cream eggs with one of my makes and was asked to remove the listing. I’m not sure where you stand with regards crayons/pens/pencils - if they are well known brands there may be a copyright issue but don’t know about generic ones. Maybe safest to email Folksy support and ask them direct.
