Hi everyone, I am in need of some advice and handy tips from any of you lovely folksy people. I am getting a bit despondent as I am getting lots of views and people favouriting my items but just not many sales. I’ve tried to tweet and plug myself on facebook but don’t know what I am doing wrong. Jackie xx
Hi.Jackie,
you do beautiful paintings and I counted 18 sales on your sold page…that is fabulous…I waited 3 months for my first sale on Folksy and I think I have only sold two paintings this year so far.
I think I contacted you to come and join the art chat thread but can’t remember whether you joined us or not./
You have to be patient…I think you are lucky to have sold as many as you have…sadly folksy is not like the auction site and is UK based so your target customers for art are few and far between.
Maybe your expectations are too high?..I know I have sold nearly 400 but I have been here for nearly 11 YEARS !!
Keep listing, keep joining in on as many threads as you can , show your work on the folksy facebook group if you haven’t already…You aren’t doing anything wrong…just expecting too much too soon.
Hi Jackie. I think you have a lovely shop. The only thing I would say is that I looked at a few of your listings and none of them had any measurements on.
Other than that, join in on the forum and make yourself known and keep plugging away with social media.
Thank you for your reply and drawing my attention to Lack of measurements, I will sort that out. Kind regards Jackie xx
You have lovely paintings Jackie and like Brenda has said it takes a while to build sales but good luck and having 18 sales is a great start.
I have looked at your items a few times as I like to buy original artwork but the thing that put me off was no sizing. It’s great that you will be adding these now as it really makes a difference.
