Trying Hard to Sell 🤢

Morning all Artists and Crafters. Ihave been look ing at your responses to my question on no sales. I am on several social media sites with shops without success but and try to input on a regular basis. However, i dont react to other peoples post as much as I probably should :nauseated_face:. As from now this is something I wil attempt to do.
Thanks for your help

I have just taken a look at your shop and the first question I had was what is the item being painted, you could put this in your title. For example

Fountains Abbey, Yorkshire, oil painting.

Thanks, i think i read somewhere that said put a general heading in this section. Such as 'wall hanging" 'original Oilpainting ’ . Maybe i need to reassess. Thanks for input :+1:

Someone told me the other way round the more you put in the description the better it helps when people are searching for your work.

Out of curiosity do you have any more work of Yorkshire churches that can be framed by the seller?

Thanks for the help. I havejust gone through everything and adjusted the header to pinpoint the subject :crossed_fingers:.
I dont have anyother or Abeey or Churches painted at the moment but always looking for ideas and subjects i think i can do justice to.
Any request :grin::grin:?

This might be worth reading.

Can I politely suggest that you take a little more care with your listing titles. They are sooooo important for helping your work to be found. You have an S on the end of painting here Yacht Oil Paintings Hanging Decoration - Folksy and your zebra, another example, you have no space between oil and painting. xx

Also I followed the link to your FB page and hit the Shop button. I looked at the Zebra but have no idea how one would get from your Zebra there to actually buy it ?? Have you missed something in the setup of your FB shop …
PS I normally spell Stripey with an E xx

PPS Your zebra is gorgeous…(but I am clean out of wall space :frowning: )

Thank you. Ive no excuses bad grammer i will correct them :+1::art:

Hi Steve, this is a bit off-topic, but I can see that for some of your paintings like the lighthouse, you credit the original photographer. For the others, I assume you either took the reference photos yourself or have permission to use them without crediting the originator.

It can be a bit of a minefield - just because an image is ‘royalty free’ online you still need to check that they give permission for you to use it for work you are selling rather than for your own enjoyment. Your magnificent tiger painting, for instance, I can find in different versions elsewhere online, clearly the same animal in the same pose, so you need to be careful about permissions.

Helen, that is SO true which is why I am glad that I make my paintings up as I go along, so all of mine are from my imagination…safer…x
