Thank you Patsy. They’re a bit rough & ready but it’s always enjoyable learning something new. I want to design my own next time, once I’ve got a few stitches under my belt! You sound like you’ve been super productive! Stay well.
Haven’t made any jewellery yet tho’ apart from trying my hand at some memorial ash glass flamework beads. Thanks to a beloved dog I had some ashes just lying around to practice on, as you do. It only takes a teaspoon. Felt a bit strange using them at first, but I’ve been asked to make some recently and I’d never done it before.
Hi Patsy,
There does seem to be a market for this kind of memorial jewellery. If people want them, why not provide? Good luck with your beads and hopefully happy memories of your beloved dog😊
ha ha…and to add to my already confused brain…today I had TWO letters (identical) with TWO passwords…ha ha…so now that my son has talked me through setting it up…I have a potential THREE, 5 x digit codes, and THREE passwords…aaargh…lol
Hi Stojan look forward to seeing some of your creations! Stay well.
Would love to see it when finished.
Good morning.
Just brought myself a die cutter. Waiting for it to be delivered.
I’m going to have a go at making some cards and gift tags. So that I can add them to my Folksy shop to add a bit more variation in what I make. I’m normally sewing so this is all new to me but looking forward to learning something different.
Once you’ve got the hang of it you’ll love it x
I’m learning how to crochet - it’s much harder than learning to knit
I’m currently working on a granny square blanket.
Hi Sam, Lovely!
My last effort - once more defeated by buttonhole wheel - just can’t seem to get the hang of that!! Now trying my own design using added bits of tweed and wool felting. Much as I’m enjoying learning embroidery I should really be making for my shop but not feeling too motivated there (especially since had no sales since listing on Folksy). However, onwards and upwards! Will try and start something today…Hope all staying well and happy making!
That is lovely Becca @Bimblebird xx
Sam @HandknitBySam, I have tried to learn to crochet so many times (and failed) you are doing a great job xx
In this long lockdown I perfected some techniques for pyrography and crochet-filet, creating new objects. There is a lot of passion in creating and we never stop learning Stay safe
Hi Irene @JustForYouCreationsUK, sounds intriguing - I don’t know anything about pyrography or crochet so would be great to see a pic. Being creative (or trying to) is what’s keeping me half sane right now! Still in lockdown mode as my partner and I are in vulnerable group. Stay safe.
Hi Irene @JustForYouCreationsUK, I favourited your items. Really interesting technique and your crochet/lace is amazing.
Thank you very much
I’m refreshing my Mindfulness practice with an online course at FutureLearn - it’s for free and it’s the best course I’ve found. I do it at least once a year to keep me on track!
