Hello Fellow Folksyers,
I would love some feedback on my shop CraftyLudbug. I feel it would be really useful to know what others think when they visit. I’m keen understand where I’m going wrong so that I can improve and what I am doing right so that I can keep it up.
It would be great if some of you could take a look, all comments will be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance, Gill
Nice photos and shop front. Utilise your tags more efficiently. Instead of - bag - pink - chunky etc… Say, Pink chunky bag as one tag. And use all your tags if you can and ensure that some of your tags are repeated in your title.
For your materials say more than just wool. If it’s acrylic, say Acrylic Wool and emphasise that it’s vegan friendly.
Some of the photos on your shop front are falling foul of the ‘folksy crop’ - they display the images on our shop fronts (and in search results) as square so if your photos aren’t square bits get trimmed off. Its a bit distracting for things like your slippers where I find myself looking at a rather abstract image of the middle bit of the slipper.

Your shop front looks lovely and all very well-organised. I’m quite new so I’m learning how important tags are and from what I understand you think of what someone would type in a search so cream scarf as well as just scarf on its own. A few of your photos were a bit shadowy and I know how hard it is taking photos in the UK at the moment. I use a free app called Pic Tap Go and that lightens my photos, sharpens them and removes a few shadows. Good luck with your shop!
Thank you Julie - look like its tags and photos I need to work on
