Art chat - 14th September to Sunday 20th Sept

The place to come and chat about all things art related, please do jump right in everyone is welcome

Morning  Hope everyone has a productive week

I’ve put my various shops in holiday mode for this week, I need the chance to get my current commissions list finished before I start taking the next lot of commissions.

It’s raining heavily here - oh what fun! They’re doing roadworks on one of the major roads into Bournemouth, so the road behind us (that has itself been closed twice this year for roadworks causing major chaos) is now taking a large proportion of the diverted traffic…and it’s lasting for 9 months! People are getting stuck in queues for 2 hours on certain sections of the route, and with the weather taking a turn for the worse it’s going to get even more time to get anywhere. I hate wishing time away, but I really can’t wait for the 9 months to be ended!

Hi.

Here is my listing for today…

Morning all, hope the traffic situation eases for you Sara

Another lovely sea cave type ACEO Kelly, what do you see in this one?

105 redundancies to be handed out tomorrow here, not a good time in the office :frowning:

Thank-you Margaret. My painting isn’t an ACEO,it’s a 4X6. In this one I see a gorillas face! lol.

Max, I am not sure what is happening with my sold items. It has confused me to be honest, as I had to delete them from my listings, because as you know with Encaustic painting, you can’t do two the same, and if someone wanted to buy the encaustic painting I would be totally stuck…so I had to delete them all together. Something isn’t right somewhere…

Sorry, I was in a rush at work and didn’t take note of the dimensions!

No need to be sorry

afternoon all…had a busy day but back now…no time for painting today, and no time for downloading pics to list, so I have done a relist. This one was getting to the end of its listing time so here it is again…a 7x5 watercolour that is in an ivory mount.
.

Oh goodness Margaret I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow <3

Sounds awful Sara, does that mean you can’t drive anywhere?

No painting time for me either, although I’ve managed to plan out a commission.

Thanks Bee, incidentally, are you aware that there’s another shop selling art work that’s just set up here calling themselves Studio Bee? Could get confusing! I’ve let them know about your shop that’s already established here, so hopefully they’ll change their name.

Sending good luck wishes Margaret…I hope your job is safe…such a lot of redundancies is awful…peoples lives put in turmoil.
Bee, I hope you can get sorted with the other shop…I am surprised that folksy didn’t pick up on it…but perhaps they thought it was you opening a second shop.
Here is my listing for today.

I’m safe!!!

Lots of other people aren’t though. Thanks for the well wishes everyone, it’s been a horrid day. So many people react in so many different ways, it’s a stressful time for everyone.

Fab work Brenda and Kelly.

what a relief Margaret (unless of course you wanted to be redundant and stay home and paint and make beautifully embroidered pictures…lol)
Great work everyone.
