Okay, it’s time for me to create a fb business account… I’ll need a banner and I need to create one for folksy too. As this whole experience is new to me any tips on what makes a good banner? How to create one? Using canva? I feel like I’m constantly asking for help on here and it’s knocking my confidence a little, how naive was I thinking that I could just sew create and sell? Any tips welcome ![]()
I just used a photo I took myself on my phone. I am happy with the result, but others may disagree!! But, as you know from my other posts, I am not techy at all. I think many people do use Canva. Like you I just want to design and create, not have to learn skills that I have no interest in! Sometimes we have to though, just to exist in the online selling world.
I did the same (used a photo I had taken myself) and cropped it till it fit the dimensions! I’ve had it for years now and if I had to change it, I think I would struggle a bit too!
What is your shop name? If I click on it on here it doesnt go to it.
No, I can’t get to your shop either… ![]()
Hi Jill @artisanhatscraftsstudio i used canva with the folksy measurements required and designed my own
When you made your own banner could you use it on your fb account and other social media? Might sound like a daft question but it’s all new to me ![]()
Deborah, did you find it easy to use canva? Something I’ll have to play with as I’ve never used it ![]()
Hi Jill @artisanhatscraftsstudio I used same design for folksy just change the measurements for Facebook then download. Just alter the measurements for wherever you want a banner, any questions just ask
I love Canva and only have the free version with no AI features enabled, if you search ‘how to make a make a Facebook banner in Canva’ there will be YouTube video tutorials you can follow, but you can also just play around in Canva too.
I had a photo on my camera roll and I cropped it down and it worked so that’s my suggestion.
Keep asking, people will always help, end of the day we’re all wanting the same result by having a shop here. I prefer to lift others up and help them shine ![]()
Jill it looks like your Facebook link on your page is not working I just tried it
Melanie, yes I know… I’m still sorting out a business account page… never having used social media before it’s something I keep putting off..hence the enquiries into making a banner. I’m trying to make it this week’s project amongst many other things…the truth be known I’m finding it all a bit scary as it’s completely out of my comfort zone
I’ll get there, just joining folksy was a massive step for me. I’m slowly gaining confidence though ![]()
Ahh ok Sorry Jill. I know I’m the same with some things, I still have to ask my adult kids! But once you’ve done it then it all starts clicking into place ![]()
