Customers having trouble with PayPal

I have had emails from two customers over the last couple of weeks saying that their PayPal payment to me has been refused because of ’ a risk has been detected’ . I can also see from my PayPal account a third customer has tried unsuccessfully to pay for an item. I expect the problem is with our account, but as it seems almost impossible to contact PayPal about it, I thought I would ask if anyone else has had similar issues.

I haven’t, although most of my customers use Stripe. You’ve not got it set up as a Personal account or ticked a box stating that you sell X goods/services when you actually sell a different type of thing? That might flag on PayPal’s system.

Thank you very much for your response Francesca. I have set up a new account and have everything crossed ot will work. I’ll check that I haven’t ticked anything I shouldn’t have, but it’s worked well for years so I would be surprised. Thank you again
