I’m back again with CfTT this time.
Brian is out painting all of the fascias as the new windows really showed them up. Let’s hope the rain holds off till he’s finished.
Today I have a 4 piece dress set for a baby girl
DH paternal family come from Finland hence why he says he loves them. They do make similar in Finland called Joulutorttu, these are mainly Christmas though. I think he does not need an excuse, lol. He makes sure he has enough to do a rotation for Sunday breakfast about 6 different ones over 6 weeks.
Afternoon all,
Off to visit MiL at the care home, picking up her cousin en route, and with pooches in tow.
Lots of roadworks and potholes here too - and I believe there are 4,000 in Blackburn, Lancashire…
Faved to here
3 more sales to add to the tally please Anna @Fififoxi
Sarah @dotterypottery the long tube like things are silk waste carrier rods. These ones have been dyed. The other bits are cocoons. All waste from making silk thread. Don’t ask me exactly what, I think the moths come out of the cocoons, except they’re boiled before they do! Not very vegan, but it’s been going on for thousands of years and there’s no shortage of them. And of course silk is just so gorgeous and lustrous. Textile artists use these in their creative work.
I have just put up the Who Wants to join the September Challenge Thread hopefully many of us will take part again it has been a great month this month.
Just sat down to a late lunch of homemade chicken soup, late because I was waiting for it to finish cooking!
I’ve missed a few days so will scroll back and catch up with news while eating.
I’ve made Dorset Apple Cake this morning as Dad gave me a couple of huge carrier bags of Bramleys from his garden when I called in to see him on Friday. I’ve already had a piece still warm and it was so nice. He’s requested a couple of apple and blackberry pies to pop in the freezer so need to pick blackberries from the overgrown brambles at the bottom of the garden after my soup.
Right, back to soup slurping and scrolling.

Afternoon all.
Today started well, but is now dark and wet. Not that I really notice when I’m ensconced in my workshop, but dogs still need walking.
Has anyone else noticed that the forum photos seem much higher resolution recently, I always used to find they went a bit dull and blurry after loading, but that has stopped.
