Good afternoon everyone. Just had a marathon cleaning session of our kitchen/dining/living room, itās taken ages. One of the joys of having a large fluff ball of a dog that is like a mud magnet .
thank you Steve @linthamdesigns that is a big relief to meā¦and at my age will probably see me outā¦lolā¦as long as I can keep painting and selling, that is all I wantā¦( little things and all that ) ā¦I think I worried because our first pc ( with a tower ) was windows 7 and when windows 10 came in, it stopped working altogether and had to go to the IT cloud in the sky ( local tip)ā¦( and yes I removed the hard drive first ). I really appreciate your help and that of all the other lovely people on here.xx
Sharon @TheOldButton our windows are dirty from the wind blowing up sand from the beachā¦I will wait for the rain to wash it offā¦lolā¦and I always take orders, even on Christmas day ā¦I just cannot guarantee deliveriesā¦I will be here on Christmas dayā¦my life is boring and Christmas day is just another day to meā¦dinner on a tray and watching tv.
thank you Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio ā¦i had a quick read through it and it looks very involved.
I obviously donāt have a problem at the moment, so I have saved the page xx
Afternoon all,
Made it on here before dark!
It has been lovely and sunny here today
A very Merry Christmas to all who are leaving the thread until after Christmas - I will be here more-or-less throughout and my shop will remain open @TheOldButton as I am home for Christmas and it is just the 2 of us. Hopefully Brenda @teabreaks will provide the occasional mince pieā¦
Glad to hear the car passed, Carol @Knittingtopia
Hilary this has been my day too, the house has been neglected for a while and the dog fur drifts were getting out of control , not to mention the mud and leaves the pair have brought in. Iāve barely made a dent in it.
No house cleaning for me, but a bit more paviot grouting and mud shovelling after the storm. Just popping in quickly for a catch up and to report a sale for the tally. @SueTrevor
Brenda @teabreaks You sound just like my husband. Whenever we get anything new he always says āItāll see us outā Very morbid
Lots of little last minute stocking fillers today
Sharon @TheOldButton both Oswestry Jewels and Creations for Tiny Tots will remain open all the time if you want to use anything from them. Thank you in advance.
Good evening all. I have loved you all to here - well, your goodies anyway! No new listing today. Weāve been at a craft fair, the last until next March, so I had a bit of a sale on the Christmas stuff. The footfall was good and my sales were reasonable, though most of the people were simply wanderers, the type who donāt even turn their head to look. I can never quite fathom why folk like that even come in. I think there must be a lot of illiterate people in Saltburn. I had large clear signs advertising Ā£1 off all Christmas goods (and was offering deals on more than one item). Every second customer seemed to think I was selling all Christmas stock for a pound! Er - noā¦
Can I mention your shop announcement says I CAN ONLY SELL ITEMS TO ENGLAND, SCOTLAND, NORTHERN IRELAND AND WALES. I assume you put NI in there by mistake, as your shipping to EU & NI box says not shipped there?
Merry Christmas to those closing shop over the festive period. Well done to those whoāve had sales. My sales have dried up, and now itās probably too late for Christmas sales, but Iāll still keep the shop open.
I have a small Christmas fair tomorrow, at a care home, as I think I mentioned (the one that was postponed last weekend). They only just advertised it on the local FB groups today, so Iām not holding out much hope of many sales! Was very tempted to pull out as I have other things I could be doing tomorrow, but Iāve said Iād do it so I will show up - and can leave early if itās really slow going. Itās good that you had reasonable sales today, Joss @XStitcherJoss - I know what you mean about people passing by without even looking - so frustrating, and as you say, why do they come if theyāre not interested!
I have cover for £10 million Carol. The toy safety group I am a member of recommends at least £5m.
I use CTMIA - they specialise in insurance for market traders and small crafters, and they have 2 levels (£5m and £10m). But they exclude USA and Canada, which implies the rate could be higher.
Thank you for that. I donāt make toys so probably why itās cheaper? Iām with craft cover and they have Ā£2 million and Ā£10 million options for what I entered (baby and childrenās clothes and blankets plus adult clothes and blankets)
Edit: oh, an I didnāt add stock cover. I just have cover for if someone should get injured from my items.
