We went to my brothers 70th birthday party last night, his birthday is today, I canāt actually believe my brother is that old, he certainly doesnāt look it. And heās still very fit, he walks and cycles for miles. It was a fish and chip supper so I ordered haloumi fritters which were lovely. The chippy brought 2 massive crates of pre-ordered food to the village hall they were still hot and very nice. A good way of feeding all of us. And I drove all the way there and back, and considering I donāt particularly like driving in the dark Iām pleased I did, although easier on a motorway.

Morning all, I am getting into panic mode! MIL coming to stay on 24th til 28th her bedroom is a stock room, so have wholehouse to clean and get decs up, as well as rehoming all the stuff in her room, plus lots of horse care work this week. Have no idea how I will pull it off!! 
I will also stay open Sharon @TheOldButton but will close on the Friday after Christmas. As a newbie do we need to close our shops on days we donāt ship such as Xmas day or does Folksy automatically take into account that it is a BH and extend the deilivery date?
With MIL coming to stay I will certainly be joining you on the naughty step over the festive period Brenda @teabreaks. Do you like Yule Log? MIL means well but after 24 hours starts criticising and although I try I am not very good at keeping my mouth shut for the case of harmony.
Due to time pressures I will only be sharing versions of things you have already seen but with different waxes. But the actual listings have not been shared (I donāt think!). This one features my beautiflul fluffy Ali cat who we lost early this year aged 20. I just love seeing her gorgeous face again and feel quite emotional, a really special girl who is always in my heart.

Itās windy here again today, fully expect the rest of my fence to fall down as itās not repaired yet from last weekends storms. Luckily I have already managed to find a local company to come and replace the whole fence next weekend so wonāt be down for long.

Iām not sure about whether Folksy extends the delivery date for BH, Corinna. I have always assumed it working days - I had an order yesterday, I will complete and pack it up today but the post office isnāt open on a Sunday so it wonāt physically get posted until tomorrow. I could drive it to a parcel drop off box, but I donāt think it will be picked up and processed on Sundays?
I tend to put shop in holiday mode on Christmas Day then re-open Boxing Day. Donāt get loads of sales (haha) but itās there just in case people are looking.
I have set most of my items for 1 day dispatch for the week before Xmas (and I have email-able gift vouchers too), and when I reopen I revert back to my usual 3 days as people are in less of a hurry then. It does take time but is worth doing if you can. I wish Folksy would set bulk edit for this.

good morning allā¦ Corinna @quaverlyric ā¦yule log will do nicelyā¦xx I have two spare bedrooms that are piled high with stock and crafting stuffā¦if anyone comes to stay ( which thankfully is rare) I have to move it all into my bedroom and then climb in and out of bed ha haā¦and make sure that my bedroom door is SHUT so that no one can see the messā¦I am often temped to get rid of a lot of the stash but I know from past experience that the day that it goes I will NEED itā¦( why is that???)
I stay open all through Christmasā¦and I have often had a sale on Christmas day and just post it as soon as I am ableā¦rememberā¦people get given money for CHristmasā¦

Good morning all, it seems very still out there this morning.
Iām intending to keep my shop open over the Christmas period but not sure what to do about Christmas items. Do I leave them in my shop or take them out and if I take them out do I hide them or take the stock levels down to 0? What do others do?

Hilary @kokoblue, I leave my Xmas stock in until the listings retire. I just move them to the end of my pages, and possibly merge them into a single category called Christmas (or Seasonal) - at the moment Iāve got at least 3 Xmas themes categories!!
I find itās a good opportunity to try and clear some older ones in the āJanuary salesā too. If I do that I will create a new category called Sale, and bring it further forward.
