Daily Listing Challenge and Group Promotion thread - November 2024

good morning all…not a good start to today. Kelly woke me up at 6 saying that the house alarm was beeping ( indoors)…the unit said low battery…
We have been here 28 years and never knew it needed a battery and no idea where a battery would even go ! We kept putting in the alarm code and now it has stopped…If necessary I will have to phone the security company and get someone to come and look at it. As I was up I went to Tesco as today is the day to book a Christmas slot…it said waiting time to book was over ONE HOUR…forget that !!..I’ll be lucky if I get a slot for 16th December at this rate… I will try again later …too much stress…and breathe…
So here is another baby cardigan…

Morning everyone.

We’ve got a morning at the allotment planned today. I want to move the strawberries to a new bed and try to get some of the empty beds weeded and covered with manure for over the winter.

A relist of a birthday card today to break up my Christmas items a bit.

Morning all, missed yesterday as I was at my nephews sorting out a boiler problem and helping clear stuff ready for house move.

I’ve also been going through my sewing supplies to find stock for a vintage jumble sale on Saturday. Found a lot more than I thought I had  so thought I’d post some on here too.

I’m starting with some of my old buttons (well, I had to really). These are vintage vegetable ivory buttons, in stunning caramel and butterscotch shades.

Vintage tagua nut buttons pressed swirl leaf butterscotch caramel colour

Morning all. Dreary here this morning and somewhat chillier.
Off to see a friend and her greyhound Bubbles, Charlie greyhound will be delighted he loves Bubbles to distraction.
Just realised that my sales yesterday took me to 900 sales, never thought I would make that amount.

I’ve just done the same Brenda - but I had to book for my Mum as well, double the amount of slots and double the amount of addresses and payment cards I had to keep toggling back and forth. I think I’ve gone cross eyed now! It’s all done now and I can forget about it.
Back in Covid lockdown days, I used to have the two boys up at midnight reserving slots for Mr DP’s Dad, my Mum and Dad and also us. They used to keep refreshing the button for about an hour. Good boys! lol. The government made us so scared to step a toe outdoors. We even used to disinfect everything that came into the house from the food shopping - crazy, crazy days!

When the Covid lockdown came along I was living right up in the NW tip of Scotland, and getting a Tesco delivery slot was impossible! They were the only supermarket who delivered up there at the time, and the nearest one was two hours away. They used to put their delivery slots online at the same time at night, but everyone would stay up and nab them the second they became available. Then they randomised it, and I’d be sitting there all day refreshing it. In the end I just started going back to the shop.

Good Morning,
Regards sales, I refuse to give up! The collective, positive energy following through this thread should surely break through any negativity. Please keep going everyone and don’t lose heart, it’s the antidote to all the bonkers-ness happening in what they call ‘the real world’. If we don’t keep going all these skills will be lost to a generation who post themselves wiggling their bums and get paid for it :woman_facepalming:.

With you Corinna @quaverlyric, the animals keep us sane. However since I’m mostly here on my own and talk incessantly to them, when Mr Longsuffering comes home he often says ‘you do know you just said that out loud’
