Have spent the week learning how to put a post on Insta for Folksy Friday. Turns out this new laptop saves photos with something called AVIF or not as the case maybe. Had to convert to jpeg using a converter, another learning curve. Finally found and sorted all photos, learned how to tag everyone, pressed āshareā and it said it couldnāt be posted
Will need a few days to recover and have donkey therapy.
Puppy photos helped though @Caroleecrafts

I know exactly how you feel Sarah @dotterypottery when it comes to a visit to the dentist.
I had a pathological fear of dentists for years after so many bad experiences.
As a child I had double braces and an orthodontist that was straight out of a Roald Dahl novel. He would literally have me shaking with fear if I had so much as lost one bracket on my brace. His whole demeanour was like that of a bad tempered Victorian headmaster.
My dad actually ending up having to have words with him over his nasty attitude. Not sure what he said to him but he was never nasty to me again after that.
Many years later in my late 30ās I had to have an extraction with a local dentist, who was the polar opposite in attitude and was very kind and friendly. Unfortunately despite his nice nature his dental skills werenāt quite up to scratch and it ended up taking him nearly 3 hrs to pull my tooth. At one point he actually had his knee on my chest trying to get leverage! It was as if I were being worked on by an inexperienced blacksmith with a drinking problem.
Needless to say by the end of it I was numb up to the eyeballs, unable to speak coherently (after endless injections) and completely and utterly traumatised beyond belief.
All I had to get me through the whole ordeal was a black and white poster of a 1950ās beach scene that had been crudely taped to the ceiling, as if to give me some false sense of security!
Iāll never forget him calmly saying to his dental assistant āI just canāt understand it, it just wonāt budgeā He then looked at me and said āMr Tomlinson itās seems you have the teeth of a prize winning horseā
Luckily in recent years I have found a very good dentist who has totally renewed my faith in British dentistry.
My listing
Golden Retrievers are very furry and shed from January to June and again July to December. The shed loads of fur that end up looking like tumble weed everywhere. Round here anyone that has this breed of dog says they are floofs.
I used to groom Shiloh twice a week and each time got out enough to fill 2 cushions. They have a double coat to enable them to stay warm in water.
I thought Yorkshire was all mountains and heartbeat country Joss @XStitcherJoss ā¦lolā¦
and Devilās toenails?..what are they?..and they talk funny in Yorkshire donāt they?
I actually like accents except Birmingham ( sorry to any of you from there)ā¦
I of course donāt have an accentā¦I wos well brunged up.
Stirring it up while on the naughty step with my chocolate eclair.xxx
Caroline @Caroleecrafts ā¦thanks for thatā¦it sounded like a rude word for windā¦ha ha
I had a golden labrador so his hair was shorterā¦but still got everywhere. The advantage of course was that when he got muddy all the dirt had fallen off by the time we got home, so he was always very clean x
So glad your dentist visit went OK, Sarah @dotterypottery
I have dreadful dental phobia, probably from being taken to the dentist as a child, having gas and then having 11 teeth taken out. I woke up being carried into the house, with a mouth full of blood and cotton wool and my Mum shouting āGet her away from me, she stinks of gasā¦ā I didnāt even know I was having teeth out. The dentist was known locally as 'Miller the Killer ā
Itās a relist from me today Iāve new items almost ready, but the day is getting away from me.
Can you add a sale for me please Alison @FluffStuffCrafts
Oh goodness Georgina⦠@GeorginaCrawfordArt ⦠ā¦that brings back memories of me having Gas and my Mum treating me to a suedette coat on the way home for being brave and the coat was rubber backed and smelt like the gas maskā¦I hated it.
When Kelly had to go to the dentist, there was a small boy about to be treated but he didnāt want to go ( donāt blame him). He wrapped his legs around the table in the waiting room and no one could budge him, so they took the table into the surgery with himā¦lol
Nic @timberarktextiles I cheat when using my laptop, and do a screenshot of the image from Folksy, and then save it as a JPEG. Much quicker than converting.
Evening all,
Crikey that will teach me to be away from the computer all day. Congratulations on your sales Carol @carolsmalleydesigns, Sarah @dotterypottery, Corrina @quaverlyric and Caroline @Caroleecrafts
Glad you survived the dentist Sarah. Iāve hated going since I was little. I had gas and 8 teeth out when I was 6 years old and another 8 taken out when I was 9. I also had to have a wisdom tooth taken out when I was older at the Dental Hospital. It was a dentistry student who did it and had to keep going to check with his supervisor that he was doing it right, so it ended up taking nearly an hour. By the end I just wanted to scream just pull the bl**dy thing out.
Lola is lovely Caroline Good to hear that Iām going to have lots more fluff floating around the house soon. Should go nicely with the layer of brown fur the boys leave everywhere.
1 sale to add to the tally please Alison @FluffStuffCrafts todays necklace has sold.
Hello all
Finally getting onto the thread today. Glad your dentist trip wasnāt as bad as you were expecting, Sarah @dotterypottery and well done for going through it without anaesthetic! I also had bad experiences as a child. Our school dentist only used some kind of gel or something to block pain, which was useless, so I had some very painful sessions there! We used to be called from class one by one and everyone would dread their name being called. Weād call it the āmurder houseā. Thankfully since then Iāve mostly had good dentists and am not so worried about it anymore.
Anyway stunning photos from Cornwall, Nikki @GlintBeads ⦠and loved the dog photos, Caroline @Caroleecrafts
Well done on all the sales, hope it continues!
This weekend Iāll be preparing my paintings for the exhibition I have coming up next week. I need to put picture wire on them and make sure theyāre all finished properly etc and put my linocut prints into frames. We can also sell up to 20 cards, so Iāll sort them out too. Iām getting increasingly nervous about it, but should feel a bit better once theyāre all set up on display (which is Wednesday).
Today I have another of my Emma Bridgewater design decorations:
Thanks Sharon, Iāll give it a go
