The good news is the optician’s panic yesterday about Bob’s eyes which had him at the eye hospital wthin 24 hours is…Not Retinal Detachment … which would need urgent surgery but ‘Retinoschisis’ (yes I know, had to Google it 
) which does not require any treatment. PHEW.
Who knew how many things you’ve never heard of before that you can get wrong with you when you get older…
Stay young as long as you can everyone …and in our case, we holiday rather a lot because we ‘do it while we can’

Indeed. Our local hospital has the most fantastic Eye department. Dedicated section, separate easy parking. I know as I’ve had two incidents myself with a bleed on my left eye. Bob saw the optician yesterday for a standard check and she referred him as she thought he had a detached retina. Hospital called in the afternoon and we went over this afternoon… within 36 hours of seeing the optician.
That eye hospital should be used as Best Practice example across the NHS.

I have made a decision to reopen my shop on the dark side, hate doing it but starting a section at a time, doing bundles in the hole they sell. Need to reduce stock somehow and not going to give away at this point.
Not something I wanted to do but sales are dire on Folksy.

No Sales here for two months now! And stats are dire. Folksy has never been a big seller for me, but there used to be a small profit. However, this has declined to the point where last year it just about covered its costs, so I kept going in the hope that it would recover. This year, so far, I am subsidising it!

Nothing on Folksy since May, though I’ve had exceptional sales in my other shop/s .
Post office for me every day since I got back from France (and before I went too). And more than one parcel a visit too.

Unfortunately I’ve not sold anything on here since March! And I’ve the plus account. I’m getting visits, my stats show I’m getting Google hits too. But obviously not resulting in sales. I’m selling elsewhere. Hate the place, you know the other side, but it’s where I’m getting sales. So much prefer here but

I had a few quieter weeks but still selling and June turned out ok, I’ve had 2 new customers this past week which is good, hopefully things are going to pick up for everyone, another month and some people actually start shopping for Christmas (even though we havn’t had summer yet).
Lindsay I hate them as well but no sales on here or only a few have to try elsewhere.

My problem with E**** is that, as soon as I made a good sale, last time I was ‘not on holiday ’ there, and as soon as customer had personally emailed to say thank you and they loved it as well as 5 star review… was an Account Review’ which meant t any money paid to ME for MY Work and MY material spend, would be held by them for 3 months. No thank you.
Oh and the total fees taken on that good sale were extortionate too (and did not include any advertisning fee).
I have better alternatives. Fortunately

Yes I agree Joy. It’s random. I’ve never had that happen. I don’t have lots listed there, under 50 items. All my stock is on Folksy, but it’s dire here. I’ve done the usual of pointing everything here, nothing helps. So i also am elsewhere as you know.

Of all my sales elsewhere every single one of those things sold is also here on Folksy at same price, same P&P as I have All my stock on here. But they didn’t buy here they bought there instead.
And my SM Linktree points to all my shops as does my own shop front website.
So yes Maybe someone really has Switched Folksy off.

It is odd. Nothing has really improved over the years. Still no one knows of this platform.

Wonder if We are Google blind again . We were for several months two years ago until we shouted loud enough that they corrected whatever was causing it.
Maybe Google has changed again and Folksy haven’t changed with it.

.interesting reading. It seems we went invisible to Google for quite some time and Aaron did something to make us visibile again but all the previous built up SEO was lost and had to be built up again which took months. And we were all hopeful that the problem would be fixed but reading this current post and other recent ones… maybe the problem was not fixed at all…because just going off my own currently invisible sales on here … I am indeed invisible
