Emailing customers re order

Hello

I have made a sale to USA and marked as shipped. Do other sellers send emails to the customer to let them know the tracking number and the estimated arrival time.

Yes, i would do that so they can track the delivery.

Hi Catherine, I always email buyers to thank them for their purchase and to let them know when I am going to send the order.

Yes I always let the customer know when being collected along with the tracking order.

Same here, though I do not mention estimated arrival time. I do mention Royal Mail’s time frame for delivery related to the service I have used and advise it could take a bit longer. Taking into account that you are posting to USA and there are areas in UK that have been affected by the weather, I would stay clear of mentioning any dates.

What I do - is in addition to giving them the Royal Mail tracking number, I also would take a photo of the package (so they know what is coming and what to look out for) and a photo of the post office receipt (so they know for sure it was posted) … along with a note thanking them for their patronage.

Yes, definitely. After a sale I always send a thank you email and then another to let the buyer know when it’s been dispatched.
