Hiya, I have spotted that some of my featured listings (the ones at the top of my shop as a Plus member) have text under them. For example, the third item in the photo below. I can’t see that text anywhere on my listing, but I recognise the words and think it was the original first line of the description I used when creating the listing and have now changed.
Also, has the “What was your inspiration for making the item” part of the listing now been dropped? It’s still showing on the create a new listing form, but I can’t find it on the final listed product.
I’ve had a look at your shop and it appears that the only item to have the random text is those stockings, it’s very odd and probably one for @Folksyadmin. I’ve also had a look at my shop and the listings where I have added my inspiration there is the section on the listing but where I haven’t written anything the section isn’t there. I hope this helps.
If I remember rightly, when you’re a plus seller and feature a listing, it gives you the option to put that ‘extra text’ in then.
Sorry I can’t check and not currently on plus.
When we had the old shop keeping page it was possible to add text under featured items but that went when the page was redone (this time last year I think). Any text already associated with featured items was carried over but we lost the ability to add or remove any text.
The inspiration box on listings had disappeared but has subsequently reappeared. Ditto the shop announcement box. So they are obviously doing things to the page today.
Thanks so much Hilary @kokoblue, Carol @Knittingtopia and Sasha @SashaGarrett. Your responses make perfect sense. I suspect the one wayward text entry is just a left over as it’s a rather old listing that I keep updating
And yes, inspiration seems to be back. I do like that function - I know it doesn’t figure in search, but its a good way to add extra text that just enriches the story - I do like my long descriptions!!!
