FB Grey badge removal?

We have had a message today from FB on our pottery business page saying that grey badges will be removed on 30th October. We tried to respond directly to FB but the topic is closed. Can some of you more internet savy peops enlighten us as to what grey badges are and if we need to be concerned.
As if enough wasn’t happening at the end of October already :grin::grin:
