I realised after joining in on another topic today that a number of Plus sellers don’t make use of the Featured items facility which is available to them.
To me it gives me a constantly changing shop front. My Featured items are always rainbow pieces as that ensures the top of my page is bright and as I have lots and lots of rainbow listings I have plenty to rotate round the top of my shop.
I just did a check on the Best Sellers list and estimate that 2/3rds of the Plus account shops in there do use the feature. So I am recommending it to those who haven’t perhaps yet realised what a good thing it is
I agree @JOYSofGLASS I try to have 5 or 6 selected as featured so that the top of my page changes all the time…
I use it coming up to Christmas to feature Christmas cards and my more wintery looking work, and I use it coming up to Valentine’s to feature Valentine’s cards and my more lovey looking work, think I might have done Mother’s Day too… but the rest of the year I can’t predict what people will be looking for so I leave them blank.
I just find them a bit too big, so when there’s no obvious occasion that people will be looking for, I’d rather they just get to my whole shop.
Thank you for the explanation Joy, must admit had seen it but not used. Have chosen Bees for the rest of this month
I make good use of it as well Joy and usually have a rotating list of things in my theme for the month - this month it was ‘Violets’ - keeps customers interested. Because I’m about to change to my May collection - ‘Honey bees and Daisies’, I’ve now got my dolls at the top for a few days until my new collection is ready.
I feature all my items so everytime you go to my shop front it shows a different three items.
I used to use it when it first came out, but I have to admit the reason I stopped using it was because I didn’t like the colourful ‘bunting’ at the top of each featured photo, I would prefer it plain in my particular shop/design - I don’t suppose you can change that ?
never the less I’m still going to give it a go
