Featured seller feature

In case you havent noticed Foljsy have changed the Featured Seller Feature so it now shows latest 3 on front page with option to view more. Found myself on PAge 7:

8 is the last page.

Thanks Folksy. I think that is a far more acceptable way to present the featured sellers than of late.

fyi a little hint for those on a laptop where the url is visible and editable. If you are on a feature like that and want to fast forward… arrow forward to page 2.and… you can then change the 2 in the url to a higher number (I correctly guessed 7 first attempt) and go straight there instead of having to page forward each page until you get there…
I use this technique all the time for getting through my expired listings to find something Really old.

I noticed it last night, I much prefer the new layout showing the last 3 featured makers and it’s so much easier to look at earlier ones, definately easier and an improvement on having to go through the blog.

I’d be interested to know how this looks for others on tablets - on my computer I get one row of 4 images per artist, on my phone I get 2 rows of 2 images per artist but on my (old and outdated) tablet I get a row of 3 images and then a row with a single item. Probably just an issue with my tablet due to it’s age but if other tablet uses see something similar it might be worth me flagging it to Folksy.

Also, just to let you know there is no featured seller for August because of the Summer Exhibition and Fringe events. It will be back in September though :slight_smile:

The new format will be the same as it is now @JOYSofGLASS - with the three most recent makers in the section and the click through to see everyone else.

Hi @SashaGarrett I am on an android tablet and the layout looks really good, I have three featured makers each with 6 images

Click on the see more for me please. on the front page there are 6 images per maker but when i go to the full list i only have 4 images per makers split over 2 lines. (I suspect that it is just a browser issue as this thing is old and probably not supported any more)

Ah yes me too Sasha, the front page has 6 the others only 4 but mine are 4 per line (per featured seller) not split.

@SashaGarrett on my iphone 11 i get 2 rows of 3 images per featured seller on main page then on page 2 and inwards i get 2 rows of 2 when viewing in portrait view.
Turn the phone round and its 3 plus 1 per seller.

I think that may be intentional then @SashaGarrett (more images on the main Folksy page) as the best sellers lists are the same …on the main folksy page the top 3 sellers all have 6 images each on the full list of 40 sellers only 5 images each so perhaps Folksy feature more on the front page.

Isn’t it about time the August featured seller got their feature or does lucky July get two months now ???

@JOYSofGLASS Last year there wasn’t a featured seller in August because of the summer exhibition. It’s probably going to be the same again this month/year.
