My shop has only been open since July and this is my first Christmas here,
I have sold quite a few Christmas decorations but wonder if I should carry on making…do people still buy them up until the last minute? Is there a frantic rush in the last week? I have a few in my shop still, with a note that I can make more but I think people prefer to just buy rather than order…don’t want to over do it, but I don’t want to miss out on sales either…although they will keep until next year I suppose.

I used to find my sales slowed down towards the middle of December, mind you saying that they haven’t really started this year. Like you say they will keep for next year if you keep them wrapped up or like I have in plastic tubs with lids. In my spare room they are packed to the ceiling but ??I am trying to whittle them down.

I’d be really proud if I were you, opened since July and already sold a good amount…sounds good to me! I’m beginning to lose heart with my shop.

Thank you…yes I’m pleased. It was a slow start, but it picked up…November has been the best…35 items sold on here in November, plus a couple of private sales…it’s kept me busy! I’m under no illusion though…I am sure it will be quiet after Christmas, but it will give me time to plan my summer sewing.
Don’t lose heart…who knows what is around the corner…
