@MadeByBirds try and not loose heart, just keep plodding on. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t get sales as your designs are very nice, clean lines and unique. It stands out that they are beautifully made as well !

Got bitten by a child on the school run. I’m an escort on school transport with special needs kids.
@feelfeltfound oh it’s great fun - not. When you tell people what you do for work they think oh a couple of hours a day and you just sit there with the kids going for a ride on a bus. They don’t realise how long some of our runs are (I was doing 36hrs a week at one point) and what we have to put up with.

I guess the parents are glad of a break from their little darlings though, hard all round.

Thing is there’s no real way of stopping it, even if action is eventually taken to remove them it’s only after you’ve already suffered injury over a period of time.
My hubby used to be a primary school teacher and he said he used to see horrific injuries suffered by school escorts. When he started out he worked for psychological services teaching older kids excluded from school and reckoned he took his life in his hands letting them loose with a pencil.

Hope you are OK Carol @Knittingtopia … As you know , my daughter does the same job as you, but she is with young special needs adults. She has been on her job now for over 18 years and never yet suffered any problems…
