Good morning everyone!
I’ve been having a few very busy and difficult days with a big order that has gone in every single step, all the way, from start to finish. It was for 18 t-shirts, (I used to do them when I started out but not anymore) for a VERY good customer who is going away with family to celebrate a relative’s 80th birthday, so it was writing on the back and a picture from his youth on the front. From the T-shirt supplier letting me down for weeks and having to cancel the order and finding another supplier literally the last couple of days, to the vinyl supplier having changed the material I needed to print on so that would mean ruining an old t-shirt and quite a bit of the printing vinyl for testing-testing-testing, and then yesterday I had to actually go out and try to find a similar t-shirt as one of them was faulty and didn’t have the time to order another one! There are no shops around here, apart from a peacocks, so I had to get one with the different neck cut. It’s been an absolute nightmare and I was glad to see them going this morning with my husband to be delivered. At least I hope they all have an amazing time, all 18 of them!
Anyway, I have loved everything so far, and this is my listing for today
I think we’ve missed the storm, fingers crossed, hope everyone else and their fences survived.
T shirt order sounds traumatic @theslothscavern
I am trying to work through the huge stash of fabric I have bought for reupholster or Roman blind making projects, so some will be bags, others as lengths of fabric.
A quick tote bag, which I listed a day or so ago, but didn’t put on here, so hope it’s okay to go on now!
I have a day off today - lovely! Will have some studio time.
Well, storm Agnes wasn’t as bad as storm no-name that we had last week. Joys of living on the west of Scotland I suppose
I feel your pain Mina @theslothscavern Some commissions are just trouble, however lovely the customer. I thought I’d finished my big painting, but my customer dropped in “are you going to put our other cat in?” Other cat? What other cat? So I checked the original brief and photos - no ‘other cat’ so now I’m waiting for them to send more photos. It doesn’t help that it’s a pastiche of all their ideas and I think it has all the charm of woven vomit!
Glad you’re staying, Mark
Anyhow all loved up to here. Back later to list.
Thanks for the lovely review Lynn! @erkinwald Do you mind if I anonymously post it on my Facebook page?
No problem with that at all Mark, feel free to use it.
Brill. Thanks!
Morning all. Overcast but dry this morning, storm Agnes never reached us other than some gusty wind, of course that could have been a certain person (naming no names) being blown over us from the west.
OH has his diabetic eye screening today, and we’ve both got flu vacs on Saturday, oh joy the flu jab always makes me feel yukky for a few days.
Gosh Mina @theslothscavern no wonder you’re glad to see them off in the post.
Mitts from me today
Morning All. Got a good nights sleep and back to work today. Weather’s looking dismal but at least my fence is still standing! Hope your day goes well.
don’t forget my 3 sales Caroline @Caroleecrafts ( total now 14) xx
Happy sale dance Brenda
Morning all, it seems that the storm passed us by with too much fuss thank goodness. Dull old day out there today.
Morning everyone
Lovely photos Kristyna @karloshandmade and Mark @pritteehippee
Mina @theslothscavern your t-shirt order sounds very stressful you must be very glad it’s finished
Mine for today
Good morning all, hope you have a wonderful day x
Morning everyone.
We’re having the boiler replaced today (and probably tomorrow) so it’s very noisy here with gurgling pipes and alarming sounds as they take the old monster out - it’s over 25 years old so it’s given faithful service for many years. I probably wont get much work done today so it’s another relist this morning.
Have a great day everyone.
