Good morning everyone, I’m back from my summer madness to sort out my Folksy shop with the help of this thread.
But first a pic of what dragged me away:
multiplied by ten different Harris tweed designs for the different rooms!
Also seven craft fairs; at least people are still buying in person because my online sales are at their normal seasonal slump. I still have four events left before huddling in front of the computer for the winter, but it’s time to revisit my Folksy shop and list some new makes.
Let’s start with a perennial favourite - a Harris tweed tea cosy!
Morning everyone great to be back on the thread and seeing all your gorgeous makes. Happy September and hoping the sales fairy has a busy month for us all
Morning all, well it’s been a bit of a whirlwind day, I’ve now sold over 40 small glass cats but we’ve had the inevitable news from down South that my Nan is on her way out. Mum has gone down by train this morning and I’m following on Saturday.
It is what people say on the first day of any month…no idea why…maybe something to do with Alice in Wonderland?
I googled it…several explanations…this is one of them
.
“Rabbit rabbit rabbit” is a superstition found in Britain and North America wherein a person says or repeats the words “rabbit”, “rabbits” and/or “white rabbits” aloud upon waking on the first day of a month, to ensure good luck for the rest of it .
Good morning all and Hello September.
Welcome to all of the new joiners and to all of our returning friends.
Thank you Natalie @NOfkantsCurios for looking after us last month and dancing so beautifully each day and to Max @MaxPringJewellery for taking up the dancing shoes for this month.
Today I have a new listing of a girl’s cable and bobble waistcoat
Thank you @MaxPringJewellery (love your Christmas trees) and @NOfkantsCurios (Hope things are better today. I agree you should probably rest it and defo contact the Drs for some anti-infammatories. Also just watch it doesn’t turn into a frozen shoulder - that starts off feeling like a trapped nerve).
Really sorry to hear your news @flyingcheesetoastie, take care of yourself and your mum.
Lovely gift @Caroleecrafts and great to be so organised.
Have a fulfilling, productive and lucrative month all
Brenda, I remember when I was a child I used to get annoyed that I’d always forget to say white rabbit - I think you’re meant to say it before you speak to anyone? So my mum made a paper rabbit and hung it over my bed as a reminder as soon as I woke up
Afternoon all,
Huge thank you to Natalie @NOfkantsCurios for August, and advance thanks to Max @MaxPringJewellery for taking on September.
OMG - is it really September? How did that happen?
Welcome and welcome back to new and returning folk
Poor Charlie - hope he recovers quickly Lynn @erkinwald
So sorry to hear about your Nan, Rachel @flyingcheesetoastie
