Oh yes, that sounds familiar (both the weather and the commission lethargy 
). There is the fear of it going wrong, but I also I think knowing what I need to achieve takes some of the fun out of it, as I can’t just go off piste on a whim. Breaking it down and just taking the first step is defo the way to go as the rest then just happens. It’s a good feeling though when it’s done and they’re happy

They won’t show on Folksy but upside is you don’t have to pay any commission on these sales so it’s still a win - very well done! I suppose you could give e.g. a family member the cash and ask them to put the sale through the system if you really wanted to, but personally I’d just hold onto the cash and the feeling of self satisfaction

Here’s the link to what folksy say about selling outside folksy - there are a couple of ways to go about it depending if you want it to show in your sales total or not. I usually go for the approach of taking it off folksy and selling it without paying commission.

Yes selling direct is a bit tricky. But you don’t want to turn down cash sales!

I’ve been picking blackberries like mad ahead of the rain (we hope) that is supposed to happen from tomorrow evening for a week.
I expect we will be like you soon @GeorginaCrawfordArt but rather that than this awful drought. we have only had one decent day of rain since mid May here. Love your bauble card by the way, gorgeous colour.

Hello, well I have just got home from my craft fair.
After my initial mess up, where I actually gave the customer their change, greeting cards and forgot to take their money 
the rest of the day was good.
I brought along my crystals that I sell on my website and I had my tarot cards in case I got bored. Turns out that everyone wanted a reading. The venue organiser was happy so I doubled my sales with the readings. I won’t be on the Forbes list but it was worth my while.
I also got some nice feedback about my artwork…which is always a bonus
