Couldn’t get a heat pack . So tried a hot water bottle . That gave some relief Still persuading about frozen peas ! Co codamol is helping too . Though he won’t do ibrobrufen as he’s a bit asthmatic and you’re not supposed to have it then apparenntly . Hopefully things will improve again tomorrow . Thanks Sue and Susan .

Away staying with MIL for a couple of days. Very frustrating afternoon spent trying to get her telephone fixed for the second time in a week. She really needs it for her aid call alarm and to speak to the nurses, but the best they can offer is an engineer next Wed when we won’t be here! The system does not really cater for 95year olds who don’t have a mobile and have little concept of online! Another relist today.

I usually find that a bit of heat brings temporary relief but as others have said, you need to alternate between hot and cold if possible.
Patricia @silverbirchstudio it really annoys me when big companies make everything online now. My local Council have totally removed their repair line telephone number and you can only book an appointment online. That’s no good to many people (often the most vulnerable people) that don’t have access to the internet or even know anyone that has it! It makes me so angry, rargh!

Oh dear Patricia - hope they might be able to do something sooner for your MIL - when my mum’s has had problems with her phone they have fast tracked getting an engineer out in view of her age and the fact she lives alone, but I dare say you’ve already tried that.

I’m in total agreement with him on the frozen peas, could never bring myself to do that one. Ibrobrufen is so good for muscles. My partner is asthmatic and is able to take them, but, you really don’t want to add to his problems, so perhaps steer clear for now!

Sue I have a gel pack from physo’s which is the same as using peas, as long as they are wrapped with a teatowel, the ice feeling takes away some of the pain. I also have chilli cream from the pain consultant. Actually ibrufen gel may also help Caroline…yes I have that as well!!!

Thank you Susan, I’ll bear it in mind next time my back goes! I get pain but not full on unable to move so often as I’m much more careful now, however, you can still be being careful and it still goes

I’ve just been sorting through my bead stash as the local craft shop that I rent a shelf in has asked for a commission order for 5 bracelets!! I couldn’t find the beads I wanted but came up with loads of ideas with some I had forgotten I had!! Back to searching for me, see you tomorrow,

Good morning all. Bit misty out there today but no rain yet although it is forecast.
I am having an enforced break - daughter no 2 arrives today for a week - which is good as I’ve been struggling with my mojo! I am getting lots of ideas forming in my head so hopefully it will be all systems go when she departs.
