Hi Sue Where’s the show in Leicester - sounds like something I’d be interested in
Hello Karen
@silvertreejewellerydesign
It’s at the Kube in Oadby, the racecourse, plenty of parking and space. There is a website, a little difficult to navigate at 1st, but you’ll find all the exhibitors and stalls selling goodies. Well worth a visit, lots of interesting stuff, and workshops too, if your interested. Just Google the ‘big textile show 2017’
Can’t believe I’m listing Christmas items already!
Sue @SueTrevor if you ever find that fordite (either rough or the cabs) I’ll buy it from you - the older stuff (especially from the UK plants) is like hen’s teeth and the Dagenham material is still regarded as the gold standard (takes the best polish).
I’ll mark it on the calendar - hope to see you
Thanks Sue - found it. Nice to see them using one of your photos as the link to the embroidery section. May see you there
Another relist today.
Sneaking in after a long day on the golf course
Here’s another of the gifts that we hand engrave…“Chin, Chin - pass the Gin!”

Karen, I’ve just had a look at the website, and so they do
I’m half inclined to go as a customer, I’d love to spend two days doing some of their workshops oh well! Maureen, @sewflair it would be lovely to see you there too, I’m sure you would love it.
Sasha @SashaGarrett to be honest it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack, and may well have disappeared when we moved 14 years ago! But if I do…
I actually thought this picture was a piece of it, it’s been on our windowsill for years, but looking closely I think it’s a fossil! He doesn’t know what it is or where it’s from, any ideas anyone.
All loved & pinned.
I have something new today, just listed.
It was so much fun to make. I think I might whip up a few more in different colours.
Its fossilised (or agatised) coral - looks more like the Indonesian material than the Moroccan (the Moroccan doesn’t have such nicely defined rosettes) - not that I have several cabs of that in the collection as well.
Thanks Sasha, it’s nice to know what it is, it’s beautiful and although I see it all the time, I never look that closely, it’s quite large about 4cm, I don’t wear those colours, otherwise I’m sure he would have made me something in the past!
Evening
Oh what an interesting day yesterday and today with talking about the fordite. It looks amazing, and I too had never heard of it before. Look forward to the makes Sasha @SashaGarrett
Many thanks to Roz @OrchardFelts and Deborah @DeborahJonesJewellery, my purchases both arrived safely today and I am thrilled with them all.

Thanks for sharing the wedding photos Sandra @sandranesbitt and the swarecrow festival Maureen @sewflair.
We have a village locally that does the scarecrow weekend, then another the other side of the dual carriageway that does a Flowerpot men weekend. Both great events, and amazing to see some of the creations that people put together.
Glad you’re starting to feel better Sue @suebeacham
