Evening

Re-listing this evening, then I need to go into mass production of Christmas earrings for my WI group to sell at a shared WI craft fair - hopefully they will help boost our funds a bit.

Well done on the sales folks… August has been super quiet for me but it’s given me the opportunity to stock up abit… always trying to keep optimistic

Well the National Glass Centre is still standing althought the glass roof is taped off ‘for Health and Safety’ - probably damage the last time we visited when the kids did hand stands and cartwheels all over it  Relisted today

Great video Maureen @sewflair - I loved the BFG and Donald Trump! We stumbled across a scarecrow festival near Sailsbury once - we had no clue what was going on and wondered what kind of Village we were driving through!

Good morning everyone, I drove back up from London yesterday, I left in bright sunshine, by junction 6 it was beginning to get hazy and by junction 15 it was really overcast, and now it’s raining here this morning! I actually think I prefer it cooler!
I went through all my stock last night, having brought some back from London, I have to check it now and then to make sure it’s all there, which it never is! And I have a few things to photograph and put on today, lighting permitting.
Sue @suebeacham so pleased you’re feeling slightly better, Maureen, @sewflair what a lovely video, I loved the bfg too! I don’t live a million miles from you! Although in a different county. You ought to visit the Melbourne Festival in September, im sure you’d love it
Today’s listing

Sasha @SashaGarrett I love your story about Fordite, my partner was given some back in the early 80’s when he was still silversmithing! I know he made some into cabachons but I don’t think it got any further than that… we’d be really hard pushed to find it now… you’re really bringing it to life.

Thanks Sue - BFG was my favourite - we had one or two different Mr. Trumps

  • BFG won one of the categories. We have been exhausted for a couple of
days but reviving now. Next will be the Advent Windows and Christmas Trees.
Lovely living in such a busy community tho and we all love it. Hadn’t
realised you were so close. What date in September is the Melbourne
Festival. We used to live in Castle Donington.

I don’t actually live in Melbourne, it’s about 30 mins away. I am doing it this year, its on 16th -17th September. I’m back home working to try and make some new stock for it, and the big textile show in Leicester in October, which you really would enjoy too!
