@Homegrownhats Iāve just had a realisation (never a good thing) - if you are a surfer you might be able to help me track down forditeās surf board cousin surfite (we never seem to come up with good names for these things). Apparently in surfboard workshops you get a layered up epoxy resin āwasteā which can be cut and polished to create something a bit like fordite. Do you know anyone who works in surfboard workshops? (Ideally who isnāt going to laugh at me like Iām mad when I explain what Iām after) Iād like to get some of the rough just to see what its like to cut and polish or if the layers are too thick for it to be interesting.
(I said my realisations were not a good thing)

Had a grand day yesterday with two grandchildren (15 and 13) at RHS Harlow Carr, one of our very favourite places. Very busy, hard to find parking, but as it is everywhere, easy to get away from the crowds when we got inside.

Hello Sasha! surfite seems a good name! Okay, I donāt know anyone personally who makes boards but I do know a couple of people who may be able to helpā¦ Firstly Mark at Mellowwave who make boards in Widemouth or Steve Darch who shares boards here in Brighton. Both have websites fb contact stuff and I think both would be very interested in reusing any waste as part of their business ethos! Mark is also a car person so I think heāll be fascinated by the fordite angle!
