Wet and windy this morning and the wind carried on for much of the afternoon.

Yesterday was busier in terms of footfall and I made a reasonable amount of sales. Had a visit from a fellow Folksy seller which was lovely. It was a strange one weather wise - really windy but oh so warm! We have heavy rain forecast for today and tomorrow so not holding out a lot of hope but I have some work I can be getting on with  Might put my shop back online tomorrow afternoon as I will be home by Wed morning so can get anything in the post within my stated timescales should I get any miraculous sales.

Back later. Have a great day.

Morning all . Thank you all very very much for your well wishes for my journey . I did arrive safely at my brothers after a hectic journey in the wind and rain . A tree was across the road near Bala ( just before we got there) so there was a diversion there but I managed not to get lost ! We are having a busy time here ; wonderful to see my brother from NZ and his family . We even had Christmas dinner last night! However have to go home today :frowning:ļø And it sounds/ looks like the flooding around and about our house is awful . Hopefully we won’t get stuck anywhere . My son is getting a constant feed of videos of burst rivers ; high rushing water and houses near the rivers with water up to window level.
My mum isn’t brilliant . And is deteriorating. So we have had to discuss her further needs for care . She is still adamant to be at home though . So I think I am going to make more trips to stay with her . It’s very sad to see her . But she still knows us all , so that’s good .
My daughter didn’t make it as she had 2 more trial shifts in London . So she missed the grandchildren photo with my mum .
Glad you had a lovely time with your son Sarah @thedotterypotter
Also have a sale to report Max :slightly_smiling_face:@MaxPringJewellery
Glad your stall going well Roz @OrchardFelts
Wishing you all a good day . Hope the weather is being kind to everyone . Will post something when I get back . Take care x

Raining again here in Cornwall (and everywhere else by the sounds of it) .
Here is one I prepared earlier, depicting a rather brighter day here in south east Cornwall.

good morning all…it is still raining…Hopefully it will stop soon, so that the rivers can subside a bit and the flooding drain away. I am lucky to live so high up…never any flooding up here…
Today I have another crochet sweater…
Back to painting today…it has been too dark to paint this last few days but looks a bit brighter this morning and I can actually see Devon across the bay again…

Morning all, what a miserable day! In stark contrast to the beautifully warm day yesterday. We spent several hours wandering around the older parts of Leicester city, which have always been nice, but have recently become a whole lot nicer. I came home with more houseplants than my windowsill can accommodate :joy: my daughter wanted to look at the textile shops and stalls on the market, but it was all about fruit and veg in Leicester market yesterday, apart from one stall. She really needs to see and handle fabric for her textiles course :persevere: I think London, Manchester and Bradford are the textiles mecca in the UK. Oh, and Birmingham had a rag trade market too.
Caroline @carolinefrodsham I’m glad you made it to your Mum’s ok, its a shame your daughter couldn’t be there too. Sorry to hear about your Mum, I hope she doesn’t live too far away to make visiting her difficult.
