Folksy page not working

Hi there, is anyone else shop looking like this photo I’m posting? Mine is like this the past few days (very annoying :pensive:)
Is there a technical problem?

I haven’t had any issues. Is it on your phone or laptop? Maybe you need to refresh it or do an update?

You need to clear your internet browser cache.

Yes it’s on my phone :disappointed:

I don’t know how to clear cache on my phone

Going into ‘settings’ (little cog icon), select ‘storage’, then ‘apps’, scroll through the list to find your browser (eg chrome or Firefox) and select that, you should then have the option to clear cache.

Make sure you know all your passwords if you clear all your cache as you might well find yourself logged out of everything… Just saying…

You’re not on your own. Mine’s the same on my iPad. It’s ok on my laptop though :woman_shrugging:

So long as I clear just the cache and leave any cookies alone, I’ve never had any issues with passwords being lost/ being logged out of any sites.
(I do get logged out if I clear any cookies so it is important to either clear just the cache or make a note of your passwords if you can only clear both the cache and cookies at the same time)

Thanks ladies, I went into those settings Sasha and no browser there. I will get my husband to take a look as I’m not great with phones etc … this has happened to me before loads of times over the years on Folksy, it’s quite frustrating :hushed:

Maybe an apple issue?? I must try my laptop, but I don’t use my laptop everyday.

I had a similar problem on Apple tablet and desktop before Xmas and Support were really helpful, this tip worked for me, might be helpful for you too?
‘While you’re on the Folksy site, if you look at the address bar and click on the padlock symbol that shows at the start, this should open a little menu that has the option to ‘clear cookies and site data’. Click on this and it’ll clear the cookies, and specifically just be for Folksy so it doesn’t log you out of any other sites.’

I also found that Chrome worked much better than either Safari or Firefox in terms of not giving me persistent errors, so if you’re using either of the latter two browsers it might be worth downloading Chrome and giving it a try.

Hope you get it sorted soon!

When a page displays like that it means that the CSS coding behind the page isn’t loading. That could be a page presentation problem (nothing you can do about that) or your browser not picking up the CSS correctly, clearing the cache on your phone or laptop should sort that out. Hope you can get it sorted, it is a frustrating issue.

Thanks so much . I pressed the wee padlock but nothing came up, this is on my apple iPhone I use it , can’t find anywhere to clear cache in my phone settings either :pensive:

Thanks so much :hugs:. I shall keep trying

Hello Gracie!

I’ve had this issue every so often on my Iphone - I think Sasha is correct in saying it’s a cache issue.

I’m not sure which Iphone version you have but in the settings, scroll down to where you either see Apps or where you find a list of your apps (I have an iphone 13 mini, so I found the Apps option and pressed that)
then scroll down to where you find Safari (I’m assuming that you are using apple’s default browser?) then click on that.

then scroll nearly all the way down and where the heading says ‘history and website data’, click the blue text that says ‘Clear History and Website Data’. It will annoyingly clear all your website data, but you can choose different options like: last hour; today; today and yesterday or All history. You’ll just need to log back into accounts etc again, that you have saved during this time, but this usually works for me!

Hope this has helped! cheers, Amanda

Thank you Amanda :hugs: - I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. I did all this clearing history and all was working great until today, so I went in and cleared it again, still no joy :weary:

Back to square one :disappointed: I’m getting fed up, is it even worth my while and time trying to even get a sale here on my folksy, feeling very discouraged and here is my folksy today, another day I can’t list :worried:. Does anyone’s eyes get strained and sore uploading listings?

I get this occasionally, I just refresh the page or close the tab and reopen. It’s too small to read and do anything with :see_no_evil:
