CSS page not loading

Morning,
For the last few days the CSS pages are not loading for anything on the Folksy site apart from the forum.

Anyone else having this problem?

Hiya, what pages are you trying to access?

Do you mean getting into your shop via the dashboard?

If you are getting an error message, try logging out and back in again.

No Idea what CSS is…

As an end user if the style sheet doesn’t load this is what you see, it is harder to navigate the pages and looks awful.

Hopefully this isn’t happening for all.

This is what I am seeing when I am signed out as the style sheet hasn’t loaded.

Ah, I see. I thought you were meaning you wanted to get into the code :face_with_peeking_eye:.

Yes, that appearance has occasionally happened to me over the years. It usually clears when I log out and back in again.

Edit, I can see from your images that you have tried that, and it is still not good. Have you tried Sasha’s suggestion below of clearing the cache?

Brenda @teabreaks CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets, it’s a coding language that gives a website its style and layout - making it look pretty. Rather than the HTML code which tells the system how to work, and is displayed as basic functionality.

You need to clear your internet browser cache, that normally solves this problem.

Sorry, would probably be helpful to say what I have done so far:

Logged out and logged back in,
Cleared Cache,
Computer off and back on again.

It isn’t too much of a problem, it has happened a few times before but has gone on a little longer this time.

One thing I haven’t checked is on my laptop rather than my desktop.

Have you checked if your browser needs updating?

Yes, browser up to date and OS up to date.

I am sure it will iron itself out.

Ooh, it does sound more persistent. Hopefully it will work ok on your laptop.

Only other suggestion I can give is to try another browser.

Drop an email to support with details of your browser etc and the screenshot of how it is displaying and they can then track if other people with the same set up are also reporting having the issue and work on a fix if necessary.

It’s been happening to me on my mobile the last couple of days too. Have just managed to get it to load properly by searching for Folksy via google and signing in from there rather than putting the address in directly.

When I get that display it is always because I have a poor internet signal.

I had this and it lasted for 3 days but it’s ok now again. I tried all the things you said you tried but nothing worked. I’ve been using Chrome while the problem sorted itself out and that was ok.

All righted itself today. Hopefully buyers are seeing it ok too

I’m getting this same kind of text when I’m trying to purchase something this morning. I can’t pay for the item I want. I’m sat right next to the router and it’s making no difference.
Hope other customers aren’t struggling today!
