Fred Aldous - Plus Account

I’ve been trying to contact Fred Aldous to take advantage of the Plus account discount but not getting any response to my emails. I’ve got a basket full of stuff I need to order but wanted to offset my Plus account costs by taking advantage of the offer.

Did anyone else manage to get this and if so how long till they replied?

Yes all done as should be, but just not able to get a response from them

If you’ve tried to contact them several times and they are ignoring you, they obviously don’t want the business!

Type uk crafting shop into Google and you’ll get loads of alternatives places to shop from.

Thanks yes I have other sites I can buy from but as I said the initial discount is what I was after to offset the Plus account cost

I used them last year with the 25% discount, can’t remember how long it took but I did initially struggle, I had visited Sheffield and went into their shop and couldn’t get the discount to work so left the goods then managed to place the order online. I think it was only a day or two before they replied.

Did you send them the link to your Folksy shop as they néed that as proof that you are on Folksy ?

Yes they have all the info since last Weds, just wondered what other members experiences were. I’ve sent two follow up emails but ‘crickets’ :roll_eyes:

That’s not good, have you checked your spam box ?

I"ve never had a problem ordering online or face to face at the Manchester store. I have no experience of the Sheffield or Leeds stores. Have to be in Sheffield at the end of the month - may try to drop in.

Yes, nothing there, will give it another day then email again.

No problem filling my basket, it’s just the discount I’m lacking. Keeping my fingers crossed they surface this week.

Have you tried ringing? You could explain the no reply to emails situation in case their email simply isn’t working. 0114 349 8142

The phone number is for their Sheffield branch as that is the nearest to Folksy’s base.

Finally received a response after emailing Folksy admin. Fred Aldous reckon my email was lost but then replied to it ….. ok. Had actually had to give up and order the essential stuff elsewhere as I had a commission come in, but will hopefully be able to make use of the discount at some point.

Hi Louise, we were just replying to your email when we noticed your post here.

We are really glad that the issue has been resolved, albeit a little late for the supplies you needed.

Hopefully the discount will still be useful in the future.
