I sent a message to a seller on 9th June with an enquiry about something in their shop I was interested in. I had the usual Folksy email saying my message had been sent, and should wait a reasonable time for a reply. How long though? The shop says they dispatch orders within 1 day, so I would hope they are on the ball. It isnt on holiday. One strange thing is that the email from Folksy confirming my message gave a different name for the shop. I guess they have changed shop name at some time. They dont seem to be on the forum. So I cant contact them that way. Maybe my email went to their spam, but whatever is going on I am at a loss as to my next step other than just to wait and hope!
Can you track them down on social media? Maybe send them a message that way. I know sometimes customers have never received my messages to them via Folksy.
Thanks Deborah. That’s a good idea. I did find them on facebook under the other name ( ie not the name of the Folksy shop but the name that was used in the Folksy email saying my message had been sent to xxxx)
Have they posted on the forum at all? If they have you can directly message them from the forum.
No sign of them on here! I have tried a facebook message to who I think might be them. It is all a bit weird. Thanks for your reply. Hope Koko is doing alright.
That’s a shame, worth a try though! Hope you track them down. Koko is doing well thank you, we’re away camping and she always enjoys it!
Why not just drop a line and say you hope they got your message and that you are eagerly awaiting contact from them? You might also ask that if you were to buy X would they be able to despatch it by the date you need it?
Thank you. Yes, I will try a second message and hope that arrives and gleans a response.
Since you’ve (possibly) found them on FB put a comment on their last post saying ‘sent you a DM’ . One of my FB accounts has a habit of burying message requests from people I haven’t previously conversed with so a comment like that lets me know to go looking for their message.
I wonder how many sales this person has lost by not being easy to contact? Just reinforces how important it is to make sure you have up to date contact and social media links on your shop.
I know what it’s like when you really want something so never say never and all that but honestly, if it was this hard just to make an enquiry, I don’t think I’d even want to buy from them any more
