Various website analysis tools. It calculates site ranking, value, and collates all data collected by those wonderful cookies every website have. Where, when, keywords, who, ages, time, all the juicy bits marketing people get their hands on.
Yes Amberlilly, I think our views are counted. For better insight, how about signing up to to google analytics? It is free and you can add it on the dashboard >shop settings
To be honest, I very rarely check statistics.
Yes I have Analytics.
Very handy to know that a 35 year old female on her android phone from Truro is looking at my beachhut but not very handy if they don’t stop to shop. I find it a far better use of my time to promote than to check if my promotion is bringing in views. Life’s too short. Mine is a small shop, I’m not Waitrose or Amazon.
My sales are in single figures per day not thousands.
I’m more interested if my promotions efforts are bringing in actual sales, and they obviously are.
eg. two hedgehogs separately listed on the 12th. Promoted on Facebook with direct link to both in my shop (using a carefully constructed tag so I could get the link). One sold within an hour. They were then shared on the 13th by the lovely @dottiedesigns on British Crafters. Second one sold on the 14th first thing.
So If you want to be seen… you need to promote
I have it already. I’m not very good at understanding it, but do try. Still doesn’t show Twitter, but I noticed today I was found by Google and a referral from FB. So hey, ho, maybe things will improve!
PS: I promote on Facebook Every day, even when I’m on holiday via scheduled posts.
Just had a quick look at your two latest FB posts. Try replacing the o of shop with a zero. Mr FB doesn’t like to see anything commercial so I always mispell where necessary.
Also add links to the listings in your shop but in the comment not the post / photo itself. If someone sees something they like you need to make it easy as possible for them to get in there and order it.
I’m not saying it will work but every little helps. xxx
It does take a bit a while to understand/ get used to specially when google changes their SEO algorithms. Got good impressions on here at almost 20k for a month which is looking good. Still, sales are happening elsewhere lol.
I must be the only one who never checks stats or views…I just paint, list and sell…suits me.
People can easily get paranoid about views etc…I have better things to do…lol…
But there again, I have always been a rebel…
Off to paint now and to chill out and enjoy life without worry or hassle.
And without any stress I made it onto the best sellers list in June…
Now my statistics for the month show 143K and 25 sales so I Must be doing something right.
Promote as well as you can And, like Brenda @teabreaks and I, enjoy yourself. That’s what matters. As I said, life’s too short
I rarely look at my stats - if my sales slow down, I promote to an appropriate audience - seems to work well enough for me Can’t stop to chat - have a huge long list of commissions to finish
My stats are good. I’m getting lots of impressions and visitors to my shop but so far no sales.
I’m not going to worry about it. I’ll just keep painting, listing and promoting and not worry about it.
with the greatest respect (to anyone)…I was probably selling before most of you were born…and have sold literally thousands of paintings and knitwear items…
We are all individuals and we all work in different ways…
Some work in a business like fashion, others prefer to enjoy the ride without the stress and hassle…
I see what you mean. I’m not very good at FB. My reach rarely gets to 30.
So you suggest linking in the comments rather than a post with direct link?
Thanks Joy.
Take a look at my posts, you’ll see what I mean. I hope
@Amberlilly Apologies but I think we need to once again ask @folksycontent to step in and remove this topic. I don’t think any of us wish to tolerate rudeness nor disrespect and certainly not in the public forum.
I pay more heed to using the right words than correctly identifying a childishly misused emoticon.
Hopefully your sales (and views ) will rise incredibly soon and we are all here to help each other in any way we can as Folksy is only successful as a Shop front if our individual shops are also succesful.
What’s you FB page Joy?
It’s linked at the bottom of my front page but if you check your own page you should have a notify as I just shared your lovely blue turtle bracelet on mine
Thanks Joy. Really appreciate it.
