Have you met any Folksy sellers in 'real life'?

I love the forum and it’s a great place to make new friends… I thought it would be fun to start a thread about any Folksy sellers that you may know or have met in ‘real life’ (rather than in cyber space!).

Maybe it would be also be nice to post a link to your favourite item in their shop.

I’ll start, I have recently become friends with Amy McCarthy of @amyorangejuice. We’ve planned to have a beer together over the summer. This is my favourite item in her shop…

I’ve also met Josie Mary at a vintage fair a long time ago but I’m not sure she’d remember me. She’s the person who convinced me to start selling on Folksy so I’m grateful : )
Here’s my favourite item in her shop…

It is a small world Amy! I’ve not met @DeborahJonesJewellery in person but she won some of my prints in a recent giveaway I ran : )
I bought some of her heart shaped earrings for my mum, she loves them so much that she’s worn them practically every day for the last two years.

See you at The Ship Amy, lemonade top on mine please  !!! xx

I met Amanda from @Gimmethatthing (which isn’t tagging for some reason) a few years ago at a craft fair she organised in Didsbury. There was a whole room full of Folksy sellers - it was great fun. I haven’t seen her for a while but she’s a great character - I shall have to get in touch with her to catch up.

Here’s my favourite pair of ear rings from her fab shop.

Funny you should ask…today I was delighted to finally meet Nifty (Heather) of Nifty Knits, after discovering we lived within a short distance of each other.

I just love this knitted donkey…

I also met Maureen from the Wool Fairy at a fair last weekend.

These bootees are soooo cute!!

I also know Tracey from Pretties Handmade Jewellery. I love this seashell pearl necklace in her shop:

I know there are many others I’ve met over the past couple of years, so apologies for not mentioning you all

Thanks Nicky, you too, maybe see you at the next one

Hi Ali, me too, they come around quickly don’t they?

I discovered Folksy via a fellow car club member. She wasn’t a seller but a buyer.

I do have a personal friend who is now a seller that is the lovely Sue who I see quite often.

This is one of her lovely large items

Have met a couple at a craft fair I do most months. They did Folksy and the other competitor. One lady makes small jewellry trinkets which look like miniature fruit and cakes ! I think she did Folksy for a trial period and she did sell some, how many I have no idea.

I would love to meet up with some Folksy users in the Fife area… I have yet to do a craft fair:( Myself and a group of others met up in Edinburgh a while back with plans to share a boxsmall stall. I was so excited but sadly it fell through… Would have been a great opportunity…
I have yet to do a stall!! but am always open to stall share, get in touch if interested…!!
