I’m a new seller, I also sell on etsy and on my own website for 3 years. I was wanting to sell my made to order ceramics on Folksy as well. However items take me up to 6 weeks to make as the ceramics process is a long one. I don’t have the space or finances to pre make loads of items, so the preorder system works really well for me.
Is there a way of changing the shipping times to be up to 6 weeks? The longest I can see is 21 days, and there is no way I can guarantee that short of a time.

I dont think there is a penalty for going over shipping, is there? I’d think that as long as youre very clear, several times if necessary, in your listing that this is at least 6 weeks to despatch and that you’ll communicate regularly with the buyer, you’d be covered. I would be happy to order on that basis.

If you’re using the app you can select anywhere up to 100 days for the dispatch time, but unfortunately on the website 21 days is currently the longest option. If you don’t want to use the app to make the odd edit, I’d put 21 days and then just make sure you clearly mention in the description that the actual time is 6 weeks (@Beesandblossoms is correct that there’s no penalty, other than the occasional impatient customer).

That’s handy to know, about the app. I never use the apps (here or the other side) as I find them pretty useless to be honest and it’s easy enough to do things on the Web on my mobile and tablet x
