Help with Facebook groups

Hi everyone,

For some reason I have a really hard time figuring out how to do anything on Facebook! I recently reopened my page on there for my Folksy shop and decided I want to separate all my Folksy shop/page things from my personal profile.

I would like to be able to post from my page in the groups rather than personal.

I have joined a couple of non Folksy groups as my page, but I just left a group as my personal profile (think it was Folksy Shop Group) and tried to re-join as my page but couldn’t see an option to do it. I don’t want to leave and try to re-join all the others in case it doesn’t work! Is anyone able to tell me if it’s possible for them? Or do I have to just use my personal to share posts from my page?

You can’t join all groups as your page. When people set up a group, they have the option of allowing pages to join or not.

HI ya,

You should be able to join the folksy shop group as your page, there’s nothing in the rules of the group to prevent pages joining. Unfortunately I’ve no idea why FB sometimes decides to be awkward about these things! I’d suggest trying again, it took me ages to join groups my page rather than my personal account! I’ve still no idea why it finally worked :roll_eyes:

Thank you, after your reassurance I decided to try all the groups again and it worked for all but one this time! Facebook has decided to behave today :sweat_smile: It’s just the ‘Folksy community group for buyers and sellers’ that didn’t work so I assume pages aren’t allowed on that one. Thanks again! :slight_smile:

You’re welcome! I’m sure FB has a mind of its own half the time & regularly end up swearing at it :rofl:. Glad you managed to get most of the groups sorted.
