We all want to help promote Folksy as widely as we can because we’ll all benefit.
Did you know about the Folksy shop Facebook page?
https://www.facebook.com/getfolksy
The team do promotional posts every day, sharing all the loveliest things and news from Folksy sellers. The page even has a Shop set up, where selected items are listed with links back to the site (I assume these are the Folksy Favorites items), to entice buyers in!
I have Liked it and the posts come up in my FB feed, but I notice that though some posts get a handful of Likes, I am often the only one to comment. It’s Likes and Comments and Shares which will get the posts shown to more and more people - so how about we all follow the page, Like and comment on everything and see how far we can spread the Folksy word? Advertising that won’t cost us a penny…

Have to say I find Facebook an absolute mystery. I’m on it (kind of) and I was given access to the Folksy Shop page relatively recently - I even appear to have been given access to the Clubhouse page in the last few days after many past requests.
The issue is that it keeps telling me my account is temporarily unavailable, after repeated attempts I can normally (not always) get in and post something on my page and it even asks if I want to also post on the Folksy Shop page so I say ‘yes’ (even though not sure I’m supposed to) but when I go to any other page on Facebook it will no longer let me ‘like’ anything - I used to be able to go through and like the items from the daily listing challenge. Other thing is that I can’t read anything in my inbox - get a ‘something went wrong’ message. V. frustrating.
This all started when I tried to set up a personal account as realised I needed to link one to my business account and clearly Facebook didn’t like that. I even tried getting a code from them in the hope it would fix it but to no avail.
Not expecting you to resolve any of this but just wanted you to know why I’m not able to fully participate on Facebook, sorry.
I will keep trying though and well done for highlighting this.

I sympathise, I can’t get the hang of face ache at all. So I stick to Instagram.
Hopefully someone might be able to help you
Liked the page ages ago but very rarely see any posts. See far more of folksy on Instagram

Thanks Helen - must admit I always react to the Folksy posts, but I’m not great for commenting - must get into the habit because as you say it should help Folksy’s reach. Will try harder!!
@feelfeltfound I can sympathise as I have this issue with FB occasionally, it’s very annoying. Have found it’s only when I use the app (& it’s not all the time), but usually if I log on to FB on the laptop then it seems to resolve. Just in case it’s your app that’s the issue, although I expect you’ve already tried that!
Carol @Knittingtopia it could be down to the recent algorithm changes & FB doesn’t realise you’d like to see Folksy posts. If you go to the page & like a few of their posts then hopefully the next ones should appear in your newsfeed automatically

Thanks but it’s my laptop I’m using. I think they have me categorised as a non-person with a ‘grey account’ so only give me limited access - it was better before I tried to prove I exist

I will try harder too… I do follow them but I will make a point of finding their posts and commenting. @HelenCliffordArt you are quite right, if we all work together it has to help raise Folksy’s profile.

A non person - how charming!! Yes, thought it sounded a little too easy, & let’s face it, Faceache is never easy They do seem to be updating things constantly so fingers crossed they’ll fix it at some point!
Thanks Helen. I knew about the Folksy Shop Group Page, but this one has been passing me by. i will make a point of visting and liking/ commenting.
Similar to Carol @Knittingtopia, I liked the page ages ago but rarely does facebook let me see the posts. I will try to like the posts more often.

I’ve been following the page for ages and always comment when it appears in my newsfeed. Despite my regular comments, Faceache still doesn’t show it to me as often as I’d expect

Thank you I didn’t even know it existed!
