I was chatting to a few friends about tea and coffee and what our likes and dislikes are, wow, such a variety of preferences. Some of the friends are American (I live near a couple of US air bases) most of them preferred coffee or tea without milk. Most of my family like strong tea, I’d describe mine as ‘weak and feeble’ milk and no sugar.
There are no rights or wrongs, just differences.
Black, as I don’t like the taste of milk through coffee or tea. I prefer decaf whenever possible, that’s what I have at home, but I don’t stress over it if I’m out.
I drink mainly black coffee. Coffee from aTassimo machine preferably (think I’ve become a coffee snob)
I do drink tea now and again, black, sometimes green tea too
Been 30 years since I had milk in tea or coffee, I had a reaction to milk when I was pregnant so never had milk, I just got used to the taste and do prefer it black
I absolutely love coffee cake, coffee chocolates, coffee ice cream… just don’t really like hot drinks. Never drink them at home but might once or twice a month when I’m out… just because it seems easier when everyone else is.
Green tea or fruit infusions ( red berries are a particular favourite) . Don’t have coffee in the house but whenever I’m out and stop for refreshments it’s always a white Americano.
I love my tea…it has to be strong with just a dash of milk and 2 sugars. I really do not like weak or milky tea.
I don’t drink coffee at home unless it’s a liquer coffee with tia maria…if I’m out I’ll often have a latte unless I know the place has good tea!
Strong black espresso only. I have a pod machine, but also an old fashioned Italian style stove top espresso maker, my most treasured kitchen implement. Apart from my coffee grinder!
Tea must be builder’s strength, with just a hint of milk. No sugar.
God, I sound like a caffeine junkie.
My favourite cuppa is my milky ‘Bob the builder’ 1pint I have every morning whilst checking my folksy shop! Brewed in a teapot with a fine cosie!! Brewing in a pot is the all important and critical method to getting a good cuppa!!
BUT I do love a good coffee too, but usually find they slip down far too quickly leaving me wanting more. I treat myself to s good strong and sweet coffee every morning, just the one.
Other than that I love prosecco!! xx
Tea - nicely golden coloured, but not too strong, just a 1/4 tsp of sugar, although I can manage without if I’m having a cake with it. Full strength in the morning, decaff in the afternoon/evening.
Coffee - like the smell of coffee beans, can’t stand the taste.
Well, I think I may be the only person I know that drinks ‘no tea’ because of a certain health problem I’m unable to drink tea and coffee (although I do sneek in a coffee every now and then when I’m out and about) but I found I couldn’t survive without a hot drink. So for me I have hot water with a little milk and a sweetner and we call it ‘no tea’. I have to say I really like it now.
