How many sales per day on Folksy

Is there a way to find out how many sales are made per day on Folksy - across the board not single shops?

I don’t know the answer, but it’s a very good and reasonable question. I wonder if we will find out…

I am seriously thinking of going back to the dark side as i had more sales there. The only thing was i found myself spending more time reporting ā€˜drop shipping’ shops than i did listing my items

At one point they were doing monthly round ups in the Clubhouse on FB but I don’t recall ever seeing any ā€˜x number of items sold’ info. I’m never sure how useful that sort of data is - even if items are being sold it doesn’t mean that my/ your type of item is being sold - I’d always want far more of a breakdown than they give.

I’m just interested really

I would really like to know how many shops and how many total sales per year? It maybe skewed as it could just be a quarter of the shops making all the sales but I am curious

Im curiouss aswell it would be nice to see a list of total sales even if its not super curent but came on a friday showing the week befor or even a month by month

The 40 best selling shops is updated daily perhaps if the number of sales they had was included would give some sort of idea. I know the table goes by value and with some only one sale would put them at the top but it may still give an example of daily sales, although now I have said that I think the top sellers goes on weekly sales. Even that may give some idea.

How much (Ā£) do you have to sell to get in the top 40? I sold over Ā£100 in one day and had a couple other sales in that week but didn’t get a sniff of being on there.

It depends on what the other contenders are earning from sales at the time. Once upon a time, I made the list with a Ā£50 sale. Last time I made it, I had to sell Ā£130 in one week before scraping the top 40. If you look at the last item (s) sold on the top three sellers, they are selling about Ā£200 or more in one week. There are consistent players in the top 20 too. I think it’s great that Folksy is working for them and it shows what can be done.

The top 40 are on the front page under best selling shops, click on ā€œsee more best selling shopsā€ and it will take you to the top 40.

I’d love to know this - I’d also love to have some idea on monthly search trends to find out what customers are searching for on here.

No idea how many shops are on here, not sure how you find that out?

You can work it out a bit from the order number I think. I’ve had a sale this evening, & as it happens my last one was almost exactly a week ago (2 hours out!) From the order numbers there have been 607 sales in that time - so less than 100 per day. August is sooo slow though! I remember this last year - September should see things pick up :crossed_fingers:

If you look at the newest shops section there are 190 pages of shops, but I think that includes those that have since closed. Would be interesting to know some of the breakdown, but I’m not likely to ever leave Folksy so it’s more out of interest than anything! Agree Sarah @PhotoFairytales search trends would be really helpful.

It’s funny - I was only wondering this morning how many shops were on Folksy because it used to say on the opening page but it doesn’t anymore.
