How to showcase work

Hi all, I am quite new to folksy, but haven’t a clue how to show case work or take part in any of the activities! Help!

Good Morning,
its really quite straight forward and the first post on the thread normally explains what you need to do. The showcase/ gift guide threads all tend to have a theme (eg a colour or occasion) and for those you just have to hit reply, select an item from your shop that fits the theme and copy and paste the link to the item into the reply box (Its good form to look through the items above yours and favourite any that you like the look of as this might get them a little bit of time on the front page).
Some of the threads are about mutual promotion eg the pinterest promo thread. For these you go into the shop who posted above you in the thread and select an item to promote using whatever social media you use, the next person will select an item from your shop to promote getting your work seen by a different crowd of people to normal.
There are then a smattering of threads where people need help or advice with something - scan through the previous posts and if you have anything to add just hit the reply button and get typing. And occasionally people just need to vent about something and we act as a sympathetic ear.

Thanks Sasha, I had a go, but do not quite understand how I mention the shop above.

If you look at the top of a comment in a thread you will see the user name of the commenter and then a little shopping trolley icon followed by their shop name in blue - this is a clickable link and will take you through to their shop. So if this was the pinterest promo thread and you were the person above me I would click on your willowgifts shop link, pin an item to one of my boards and then write in my reply a comment like
’I’ve just pinned these coasters to my ‘running with the pack’ doggie pinterest board


(which I have actually just done)
The next person would then click on my shop link and do the same.

If you want to get someone’s attention you can @ them eg @junemccabe which means they will be notified of your post, type the @ and then start typing their name and it should bring up a selection of options to choose from.
