Hi I have just done a post on writing your maker profile You can find it here
It tells you dos and don’ts and even shows you how to write one when you are just starting up so have nothing to work with.
I hope it helps

Thanks for that, Dixie, I think mine may be past it’s use-by date! Good time of year to do a re-vamp.
Sorting out your profile page can feel like sorting out your head a weak one makes you feel a bit down a great one energises you So I agree Sonia its just the right time of year
Thanks for the really useful advice Dixie. I loathe talking about myself and usually try to avoid all the usual artwaffle (“inspired by nature” - well who isn’t?) and use my own voice as briefly as possible! Will have another look and see where I can improve things.
Just had a quick look at your profile on here I suggest you ditch the first paragraph for all the reasons in the article and start like this
"I specialise in whimsical hand built pottery…"
Hi Dixie.I’ve only just noticed your reply - still find navigating my way around Folksy a bit complicated! Thanks for taking the trouble to have a look and help out. Steph
Thank you this is something I really need to look at, and your write up is wonderful thank you
