Insurance, public liability

Hello

I’m thinking of setting up a folksy shop selling Fairy dolls, fabric and clay items

Can anyone give me any advice on Which insurance is good ?
Many thanks

You need public and product liability, several companies out there GM Imber, Hiscox, Ian Wallace, Simply Business to name a few. I am with AN but their criteria is different and you have to have done certain items to qualify such as gallery exhibition, commission work, submissions. Know they had so many crafters applying that they tightened up the application process.

Thank you for the info.

If you are thinking of doing events too we have found Hayes Parsons very good, just renewed today and was £59 for 12 months does 5 mill public liability and 5 mill product liability

I’ve just had a quote for £75 from craft cover
So yours seems better.
Thank you
Not planning on doing events yet but you never know.

Bit late to this conversation but I was looking for similar insurance and saw your comments. I’ve used Vento Insurance (www.ventoinsurance.com) for events in the past if you’re planning on doing events. They do quotes from £50 for public liability which I thought was pretty good.
