I made this card for a neighbour’s 90th birthday. She used to be an avid cross stitcher (and has recently gifted me several bags of cross stitch items) so I thought a cross stitch card would be most appropriate for her.

My carpet was getting threadbare and the thought of having to buy a new one (expense) and have one fitted with all my furniture,


was out of the question…my daughter took a few of my crochet blankets and now we have this as a carpet…ha ha

Made this for the bare wall in the utility room. Got the large wicker heart in Matalan for a tenner and a wee bag of shells from the garden centre. Hessian scraps and raffia from my stash. The anchor hook reduced to clear in Sainsburys before they started doing all the Habitat home things. Cheap as chips lol :laughing: so happy lol :joy:
